Hi-Z, low-Z defected ground structure
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2006A hi-Z, low-Z defected ground structure (DGS) produces wide and deep stopband. This structure is simpler in design and more compact in size compared to conventional bandstop structures. The simulation and measured results show good agreement in 2.6 GHz 20-dB rejection bandwidth at 4 GHz center frequency.

Diamond-shaped microstrip patch antenna with defected ground structure
2017 25th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2017In this study, a broadband microstrip diamond-shaped patch antenna is designed for broadband communication. The results are presented by simulating microstrip patch antenna at 3.675 GHz and 10.35 GHz frequencies. The antenna was simulated in the frequency range of 1–15 GHz. S11, the input reflection coefficient parameter has a value of −14.63 dB at the

A miniaturized dual-band bandstop filter (DBBSF) is proposed by using T-shaped defected microstrip structure (DMS) and U-shaped defected ground structure (DGS). To verify the design concept, the DBBSF is simulated and fabricated. Compared with other published filters, the proposed DBBSF occupies the minimal normalized area.

Wideband band-pass filter with defected ground structure
2017 IEEE 2nd Advanced Information Technology, Electronic and Automation Control Conference (IAEAC), 2017A new type of wideband band-pass filter based on DGS structure is investigated with simulation in this paper. The filter is based on the SIW structure. In order to obtain advantages of compact structure and good performance, DGS and defected microstrip structure are adopted. The filter has the advantages of small size and easy integration.

Compact bandstop filter using defected ground structure (DGS)
2011 Saudi International Electronics, Communications and Photonics Conference (SIECPC), 2011This paper presents a new structure to implement compact bandstop filters by employing coupled DGS resonators etched in the ground plane. The proposed bandstop filter consists of symmetrical DGS resonators with a microstrip excitation to obtain a bandstop filter response.

Modeling of radiation losses in Defected Ground Structures
2016 IEEE International Conference on Engineering and Technology (ICETECH), 2016Defected Ground Structures are useful in many microwave applications. It suffers with radiation and scattering losses through defect in the ground plane. This paper addresses the origin and model of such losses with various 3D EM simulations. This model will be useful in engineering the EMI and losses due to DGS and other defect based resonators.

Defected Ground Structure Microstrip Antenna for WiMAX
2019This paper proposed the microstrip antenna which enhances the bandwidth with the use of defected ground structure (DGS). The study and implementation of proposed antenna are discussed in this paper. With the use of DGS, the bandwidth is increased efficiently to 35.87% as compared to the normal rectangular patch antenna. The proposed antenna is designed

Design a microstrip antenna with defected ground structure
2015 International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Communications (ATC), 2015In this paper, a compact design for bandwidth enhancement of microstrip antenna is present. A basic rectangle microstrip is selected to research. The ground element of the proposed antenna is taken in the form of Defected Ground Structure (DGS). The antenna is based on substance Duroid RO4700JXR and is fed by a feeding microstrip line. The results of a
