Dual‐band bandpass filter using defected ground structure

AbstractA new I‐shaped defected ground structure (DGS) is used to relocate the microstrip resonator's second harmonic at the proximity of the fundamental passband to realize dual‐band bandpass filter. This DGS is validated by a compact dual‐band bandpass filter at 1.44 and 2.35 GHz with simulations and measurements.

Square shape MIMO antenna with defected ground structure

MIMO antenna with compact size of 26 × 40 mm2 is proposed. Two square shaped planar monopoles are proposed with micro strip feed lines. To achieve better isolation defective ground structure (DGS) is introduced. The patch operating at a frequency range of 2.2 to 7.2 GHz which covers WLAN/ Wi-Max/ Wi-Fi applications.

L-Shaped Defected Ground Structure for Coplanar Waveguide

An L-shaped defected ground structure (DGS) for a coplanar waveguide (CPW) is proposed. The L-section can be repeated in series at one side or at both sides to prolong the current path and thus to increase the effective inductance and capacitance of the structure.
