This work investigates the change in optical and electronic properties of monolayer MoS2 through the coupling of its excitons and a plasmonic fractal structure. The formation of the heterostructure shows significant enhancement on the edge of the fractal pattern relative to off, owing to the enhanced electric field at the edge of the branches.

Identification of Natural and Artificial Modifications in DNA at the Nanometer Level
Short single‐ and double‐stranded DNA sequences with natural and artificial markers are examined at ambient conditions using TERS to identify and localize the labelled nucleobases. The differences between single‐ and double‐stranded DNA should provide clear experimental evidence of the extreme surface sensitivity of TERS.

Two novel bio‐based epoxy monomers, diglycidyl‐4‐allylphenol (DG‐4A) and triglycidyl‐diallylphenol (TG‐DA), derived from estragole (92% and 72% bio‐content), were synthesized and cured with isophorone diamin (IPDA) and 4,4´‐diaminodiphenyl sulfone (DDS). The resins show high Tgs, with DG‐4A reaching and TG‐DA exceeding DGEBA‐based systems. These resins

Gyroid Labyrinth of Supertwisted Double Helices in a Liquid Crystal Polymer
A side chain liquid crystal (LC) polymethylsiloxane (PMS) forms an unusual four‐network gyroid (4NG) structure. In each of the two chiral subspaces, separated by the gyroid minimum surface, there are two networks of aromatic moieties instead of one. These wind around the central polysiloxane bundle, forming a double helix.

A VCO with Harmonic Suppressed and Output Power Improved Using Defected Ground Structure
In this paper, a novel defected ground structure (DGS) is proposed for suppressing harmonic and increasing the output power of a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) in microwave circuits.

Unilateral mastication, a common oral habit, induces cognitive decline in rats by disrupting hippocampal cholesterol metabolism. It triggers astrocyte hyperplasia, enhances cholesterol synthesis, impairs transport/degradation, and reduces 24‐hydroxycholesterol (24‐OHC), ultimately damaging synaptic function.

Design of compact balanced ultra‐wideband bandpass filter with half mode dumbbell DGS
A new compact balanced ultra‐wideband (UWB) bandpass filter using half mode dumbbell defected ground structure (DGS) is presented. To realise the UWB response, the ‘T’ shape multiple‐mode resonator with short‐ended stub is employed.

EM simulation of a low-pass filter based on a microstrip defected ground structure using COMSOL [PDF]
We perform EM simulations of a lowpass microstrip filter consisting of a crossjunction open stub and two unit sections implemented as defected ground structures (DGS).

ABSTRACT Film capacitors, essential for energy storage in power systems, benefit from reduced film thickness to increase capacitance and lower costs. While the inverse power law traditionally links higher electric strength with thinner films, its validity diminishes below a critical thickness.
