NR4A1 Exerts Pro‐Tumor Role in Glioblastoma via Inducing xCT/GPX4‐Regulated Ferroptosis
ABSTRACT Purpose This study investigates NR4A1's paradoxical roles in glioblastoma (GBM) progression, focusing on its mechanistic link to ferroptosis regulation. We aimed to resolve conflicting reports of NR4A1 as both an oncogene and a tumor suppressor by defining its transcriptional control over xCT/GPX4‐mediated iron homeostasis and its clinical ...

Pulmonary Antioxidant Defense Mechanisms
Intrinsic enzymatic and non-enzymatic pulmonary antioxidant defense mechanisms undoubtedly protect the lung against oxidant-mediated environmental stresses and diseases. In addition, new ways of augmenting pulmonary antioxidant defenses are being developed which can be used to bolster disease-overwhelmed intrinsic lung defense mechanisms.

Frailty Exacerbates Disability in Progressive Multiple Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Background To evaluate frailty in severe progressive multiple sclerosis (PMS) and to investigate the underlying mechanisms. Methods This prospective, cross‐sectional, multicenter study enrolled a late severe PMS group requiring skilled nursing (n = 53) and an age, sex, and disease duration‐matched control PMS group (n = 53).

Sex Hormones Associate With Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Risk and Survival
ABSTRACT Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) risk differs by sex and age, implicating sex hormones as potential modifiers. This study examined plasma levels of biologically active sex hormones and their association with ALS odds and survival in cases (females n = 131, males n = 189) and controls (females n = 138, males n = 150) from the University of ...
