A method for evaluating definite integrals in terms of special functions with examples [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Mathematical Forum, 2019
We present a method using contour integration to derive definite integrals and their associated infinite sums which can be expressed as a special function. We give a proof of the basic equation and some examples of the method.

Definitive chemoradiotherapy [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Thoracic Disease, 2017
Definitive chemoradiotherapy (dCRT) is reflecting a treatment standard in oesophageal cancer. For irresectable localised tumours and for inoperable patients, dCRT can change the treatment intent from palliative to curative. In patients with squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), in particular in those of cervical location, dCRT is a proper alternative for ...

The Origins and Development of the Definite Article in Egyptian-Coptic

open access: yesStudies in Ancient Art and Civilization, 2014
The first appearance of the emphatic demonstratives pA/tA/nA in northern Egyptian letters of the 6th Dynasty and their absence from southern Egyptian sources indicates the growing difference between the language variants spoken in these broadly defined ...

Kernel Sparse Subspace Clustering on Symmetric Positive Definite Manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2016
Sparse subspace clustering (SSC), as one of the most successful subspace clustering methods, has achieved notable clustering accuracy in computer vision tasks. However, SSC applies only 10 vector data in Euclidean space.

mbend: an R package for bending non-positive-definite symmetric matrices to positive-definite

open access: yesBMC Genetics, 2020
Background R package mbend was developed for bending symmetric non-positive-definite matrices to positive-definite (PD). Bending is a procedure of transforming non-PD matrices to PD.

Positive Definiteness and Semi-Definiteness of Even Order Symmetric Cauchy Tensors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Motivated by symmetric Cauchy matrices, we define symmetric Cauchy tensors and their generating vectors in this paper. Hilbert tensors are symmetric Cauchy tensors.

Demonstratives, definite descriptions and non-redundancy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
In some sentences, demonstratives can be substituted with definite descriptions without any change in meaning. In light of this, many have maintained that demonstratives are just a type of definite description.

Antibody negative autoimmune encephalitis- Does it differ from definite one?

open access: yesAnnals of Indian Academy of Neurology, 2019
Context: Autoimmune encephalitis (AE) is an emerging cause of non-infective encephalitis, presentations of which vary widely. Traditionally the diagnosis of AE is based on detection of antibodies in a patient with clinical picture suggestive of AE.
