Exploring concepts of definite integrals in two variables using GeoGebra

open access: yesDiscover Education
This work was developed to present constructive steps of multiple integrals using the open-source software Geogebra. The main focus was directed towards creating three-dimensional graphs of integrals through Riemann sums in two variables.

Circularity, Sustainability, and the Quality of Coffee Sold via Vending Machines: What Do Italian Consumers Prefer?

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Vending is an important sector in the daily lives of many people, and coffee is the most frequently consumed product in the European market. Like many other sectors, vending is responding to the challenge of sustainable development by taking various actions, such as offering increasingly ecologically sound coffee while maintaining/improving ...

Climate Change Mitigation in the Dairy Sector: Uncovering Heterogeneity Through Eco‐Efficiency Clubs

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Combining climate change goals with economic targets is crucial for the dairy sector, which is a significant contributor to agricultural greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions worldwide. In this paper, we assess economic and climate change implications of dairy production with panel data of Irish dairy farms from 2013 to 2021.

Do Politically Motivated Import Bans Leave Lasting Scars? Evidence From Australian–Chinese Beef Trade

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In May 2020, China abruptly suspended imports from several major Australian beef processors, escalating a diplomatic dispute between the two countries. This trade measure disrupted one of the largest beef export relationships in the world almost overnight.

Clinical Significance of PD‐L1 and HLA Expression in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma in Response to Immunotherapy

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
This study evaluated immune‐related biomarkers in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors after postoperative recurrence. PD‐L1 expression in tumor‐associated macrophages and tumor cells, together with HLA class I downregulation and HLA‐DR expression, were associated with favorable responses to immunotherapy.

Comparison of several adaptive Newton-Cotes quadrature routines in evaluating definite integrals with peaked integrands

open access: yes, 1970
This report compares the performance of five different adaptive quadrature schemes, based on Newton-Cotes (2 N + 1) point rules ( N = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5), in approximating the set of definite ...

A Unifying Approach to Self‐Organizing Systems Interacting via Conservation Laws

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
The article develops a unified way to model and analyze self‐organizing systems whose interactions are constrained by conservation laws. It represents physical/biological/engineered networks as graphs and builds projection operators (from incidence/cycle structure) that enforce those constraints and decompose network variables into constrained versus ...

Some New Boole-Type Inequalities via Modified Convex Functions with Their Applications and Computational Analysis

open access: yesMathematics
In numerical analysis, the Boole’s formula serves as a pivotal tool for approximating definite integrals. The approximation of the definite integrals has a big role in numerical methods for differential equations; in particular, in the finite volume ...
