Numerical simulation of the fracture process in concrete resulting from deflagration phenomena [PDF]
This paper investigated the mechanism of fracture in concrete due to the deflagration phenomenon. For this purpose, the electric discharge impulse crushing method was selected, with liquid nitromethane (NM) taken as the deflagration agent. Employing this technique, NM is set inside charge holes and initiated by electric discharge.

Abstract The rational design of effective polymeric binders for the formulation of plastic‐bonded explosives (PBX) is challenging due to their inherent compositional complexity. The composites comprise irregularly shaped energetic material (EM) powders coated with low weight fractions of polymer via non‐equilibrium processes such as slurry coating ...

Ammonium dinitramide (ADN) and 3,4‐Diaminofurazan (DAF) form a 1:1 energetic cocrystal. We report its crystal structure and spectroscopic signature and evaluate thermal stability, decomposition behavior, hygroscopicity, and combustion properties. Propellant performance calculations benchmark the material against guanylurea dinitramide (GuDN) and ...

Graphene‐skinned alumina fiber (GAF) is a new composite with graphene conformally grown on individual alumina fibers via chemical vapor deposition (CVD). GAF's dynamic, continuous and scalable production is achieved by using a home‐made roll‐to‐roll (RTR) CVD system featuring integrated degumming and growth chambers. GAF possesses tunable conductivity,
