NON-CONVENTIONAL CONTACT-LESS METHOD FOR MEASUREMENT OF MATERIALS THERMAL DIFFUSIVITY COEFFICIENT

open access: yesNonconventional Technologies Review, 2019
Many application fields need information about the thermal properties of the used materials. Heat management is becoming very import for example in the building industries due to exploding energy costs, automobile industry or in the photonics and ...

Error analysis of supersonic air-to-air ejector schlieren pictures

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
The scope of this article is focused on general analysis of errors and uncertainties possibly arising from CFD-to-schlieren pictures matching. Analysis is based on classic analytical equations. These are firstly evaluated with the presumption of constant

Fatigue Crack Initiation and Growth in Nanocrystalline Ni at Multiple Length‐Scales

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Overview of miniaturized in situ SEM fatigue setup and resultant fatigue crack growth data for nanocrystalline Ni. The presented study focuses on the analysis of fatigue crack growth rate (FCGR) in focused ion beam‐notched microcantilevers prepared from nanocrystalline (NC) Ni as a model material.

Deflection of light due to Kerr Sen black hole in heterotic string theory using material medium approach

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
The deflection of light in the gravitational field of a massive body can be analyzed through diverse theoretical approaches. The null geodesic approach is commonly employed to calculate light deflection within strong and weak field limits. Alternatively,

Equatorial light bending around a Hairy Kiselev black hole

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
We investigate the deflection angle of light rays confined to the equatorial plane of a Hairy Kiselev black hole. The analysis includes a thorough study of the horizon structure and critical parameters, leading to an analytic expression for the ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Deflection of light by the earth

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 1993
General relativity predicts that light rays are deflected by gravitational fields. This effect has been observed with various degrees of precision on distance scales from 10 11 to 10 23 cm and on mass scales from 10 -3 to 10 13 M ○. . The Hipparcos satellite can detect deflection of light by the Earth, and can thereby extend the domain of ...

Cathodic Cage Plasma Deposition of Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se Coatings on Poly(methyl Methacrylate)

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se coatings are deposited on PMMA by a modified cathodic cage plasma process, enabling low‐temperature deposition on polymer substrates. A transition from discontinuous to compact morphology is observed with temperature, with optimal properties at 200°C, where improved CuFeSe2‐type bonding, lowest sheet resistance, and favorable ...
