Deformable image registration

IEEE International Conference on Image Processing 2005, 2005
The paper describes a novel deformable data registration algorithm. The proposed method can be seen as a tradeoff between the landmark and intensity driven data registration techniques. The algorithm is fast, robust and offers high registration accuracy. The algorithm enables to include complex constraints on the allowable data deformations.

Breast Image Registration and Deformation Modeling

Critical Reviews™ in Biomedical Engineering, 2012
Image-based examination of the breast facilitates the detection of breast diseases, particularly of present benign and malignant lesions. For computer-aided processing of serial and multimodal clinical data, both for visual correlation and quantitative analysis, automated image-registration methods are an indispensable tool.

Deformable Image Registration Using Functions of Bounded Deformation

IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, 2019
Deformable image registration is a widely used technique in the field of computer vision and medical image processing. Basically, the task of deformable image registration is to find the displacement field between the moving image and the fixed image. Many variational models are proposed for deformable image registration, under the assumption that the ...

Recursive Decomposition Network for Deformable Image Registration

IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, 2022
Deformation decomposition serves as a good solution for deformable image registration when the deformation is large. Current deformation decomposition methods can be categorized into cascade-based methods and pyramid-based methods. However, cascade-based methods suffer from heavy computational burdens and long inference time due to their structures of ...

Automated landmark-guided deformable image registration

Physics in Medicine and Biology, 2014
The purpose of this work is to develop an automated landmark-guided deformable image registration (LDIR) algorithm between the planning CT and daily cone-beam CT (CBCT) with low image quality. This method uses an automated landmark generation algorithm in conjunction with a local small volume gradient matching search engine to map corresponding ...

Deformable medical image registration based on CNN

Journal of X-Ray Science and Technology: Clinical Applications of Diagnosis and Therapeutics, 2022
Objective: This study aims to develop and test a new image registration method in which full-scale skip connections in the encoding process is added into the registration network, which can predict the deformation field more accurately by retaining more features and information in the decoding process.
