Caregiver Perspectives on the Burden of Disease and Treatment in Uncontrolled Gout
Objective Uncontrolled gout (UG) refers to persistently elevated serum urate (SU) levels >6 mg/dL and ongoing gout symptoms despite use of urate‐lowering therapy (ULT). The objective of this study was to evaluate the burden associated with informal caregiving for individuals with UG.

Dynamic optimal grasping of a circular object with gravity using robotic soft-fingertips
Object manipulation usually requires dexterity, encoded as the ability to roll, which is very difficult to achieve with robotic hands based on point contact models (subject to holonomic constraints).

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

GLOBAL DEFORMABLE SURFACE OPTIMIZATION USING ADAPTIVE CONSTRAINTS AND PENALTIES
Deformable models are able to solve surface extraction problems challenged by image noise because imageindependent constraints are used to regularize the shape of the extracted surface.

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Auxiliary variables for deformable models [PDF]
We present a mathematical formulation for curve and surface reconstruction algorithms by introduction of auxiliary variables. For deformable models and templates, two step iterative algorithms have been often used where, at each iteration, the model is first locally deformed according to the potential data attraction and then globally smoothed. We show
