Construction of “Space-Sky-Ground” Integrated Collaborative Monitoring Framework for Surface Deformation in Mining Area

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
Ground deformation measurements in mining areas play a key role in revealing the surface subsidence law, retrieving the subsidence parameters, warning of geological disasters and restoring the surface ecology.

Photogrammetric techniques for monitoring tunnel deformation

open access: yesEarth Science Informatics, 2014
This paper presents two innovative methods for tunnel monitoring that are based on digital photogrammetry. Both have been conceived to speed up operations that are currently accomplished by using engineering geodesy techniques and instruments. On the same time, proposed solutions are cheap and affordable.

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Multi-epoch deformation analysis with geodetic datum invariance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
[EN] Multiple epochs of geodetic deformation observations in 1D, 2D or 3D with their covariance matrices can be adjusted using the least-squares method and tested for deformation hypotheses, using the author’s hypothesis constrained multi-epoch analysis ...

Dynamic SLAM Dense Point Cloud Map by Fusion of Semantic Information and Bayesian Moving Probability

open access: yesSensors
Most existing Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) systems rely on the assumption of static environments to achieve reliable and efficient mapping.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Time- and Space-Varying Atmospheric Phase Correction in Discontinuous Ground-Based Synthetic Aperture Radar Deformation Monitoring

open access: yesSensors, 2018
Ground-based synthetic aperture radar (GB-SAR) uses active microwave remote-sensing observation mode to achieve two-dimensional deformation measurement and deformation trend extraction, which shows great prospects in the field of deformation monitoring ...

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Persistent scatterer interferometry to monitor mining related ground surface deformation for data-driven modelling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The monitoring, interpretation and prediction of gradual ground surface deformation are critical factors in the understanding of earth systems. In many parts of the world, particularly in coastal areas where resources are often easily transportable and ...
