Reconstruction of Postburn Female Breast Deformity
Annals of Plastic Surgery, 1988Postburn breast deformity is a sequelae of severe scar contraction of the burned chest. During the past four years, 6 female patients with such a deformity required reconstruction, and the surgery was performed in our department. Three different types of breast reconstruction were undertaken, each one achieving a satisfactory aesthetic result.

Tendon reconstruction for postburn boutonnière deformity
The Journal of Hand Surgery, 1992A surgical procedure in which a tendon graft is used to reconstruct the hood of the proximal interphalangeal joint for the correction of the postburn boutonnière deformity is described. The intent is to use the potential of the lateral bands for simultaneous extension of the interphalangeal joints, avoiding their excessive palmar displacement.

Reconstruction of Congenital Chest-Wall Deformities
Surgical Clinics of North America, 1989Pectus deformities and Poland's syndrome are two relatively common congenital deformities of the chest wall that are amenable to reconstruction. The extent of the structural deformity in pectus deformity and the degree of associated cardiopulmonary dysfunction are critical variables in preoperative assessment.

Congenital Deformities and Reconstruction
2010Congenital hand surgery is an interesting but challenging area, where the deformity may not always fit a recognized pattern. Reconstruction may involve the application of innovative thought to basic principles of hand surgery. The challenge is not only to reconstruct to create a functional and aesthetically acceptable hand but also to do so in a way ...

Tomographic reconstruction using 3D deformable models
Physics in Medicine and Biology, 1998We address the issue of reconstructing the shape of an object with uniform interior activity from a set of projections. We estimate directly from projection data the position of a triangulated surface describing the boundary of the object while incorporating prior knowledge about the unknown shape.

Reconstruction of Post-Traumatic Boutonniere Deformity
Hand, 1973Abstract In order to repair post-traumatic boutonniere deformity, the Flatt method was employed. The results of eleven cases which could be followed up, comparison with other methods, and indications for surgery are reported here.

Surface reconstruction and deformation
2014This thesis studies the problems of reconstructing surfaces and maintaining a deforming surface mesh. We first present a practical algorithm for surface reconstruction from a point cloud, which runs in O(n log n) time, where n is the number of sample points. This is optimal in the pointer machine model.

Reconstruction of acquired auricular deformity
Operative Techniques in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, 2011The position of the external ear predisposes it to both traumatic injury and malignancy. The intricate anatomy of the auricle, with its multiple concave and convex surfaces, makes reconstruction challenging. This article explores methods of auricular reconstruction for otohematoma, lacerations, lobule tears, avulsion injuries, and a variety of ...

Reconstruction of Saddle Nose Deformity
2019Saddle nose deformity results from many different etiological factors. Trauma and previous surgeries are the most common reasons, whereas the intranasal foreign body, infections of the septum, and cocaine abuse should also be kept in mind. Different types of etiologies are related to various types of deformities. The term “saddle nose” is attributed to

Breast Reconstruction in Congenital Deformities
2017Breast anomalies in pediatric population are common, but fortunately, vast majority of these conditions are benign. The spectrum of breast disorders in pediatric population is different from those in adults, and often different treatment options are involved.
