p-deformation

open access: yesDifferential Equations & Applications, 2022
Summary: In this article we introduce the so called \(p\)-deformed algebra \(\mathcal{V}\). The notion of \(p\)-deformation is connected to the well-known \(q\)-deformation by the simple relation \(p = \frac{q^2+q^{-2}}{2}\). Thus the \(p\)-deformed algebra \(\mathcal{V}\) will have representations in terms of \(q\)-difference operators.

Influence of screw density on thoracic kyphosis restoration in hypokyphotic adolescent idiopathic scoliosis

open access: yesBMC Musculoskeletal Disorders, 2017
Background Previous studies have reported that rod composition and diameter, as well as the correction technique are key factors associated with thoracic kyphosis (TK) restoration. However, few study has analyzed the correlation between screw density and

Tibial lengthening using a retrograde magnetically driven intramedullary lengthening device in 10 patients with preexisting ankle and hindfoot fusion

open access: yesActa Orthopaedica, 2020
Background and purpose — Motorized intramedullary lengthening nails (ILNs) have been developed as an alternative to external fixators for long bone lengthening. The antegrade approach represents the standard method for tibial ILN insertion.
