Path degeneracy and applications
In this work, we relate girth and path-degeneracy in classes with sub-exponential expansion, with explicit bounds for classes with polynomial expansion and proper minor-closed classes that are tight up to a constant factor (and tight up to second order terms if a classical conjecture on existence of $g$-cages is verified).

Problematic Internet Use in Frontotemporal Dementia: A Case Series
ABSTRACT The present study investigated problematic internet use (PIU) among 61 patients with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) compared to a cohort of 354 patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer's dementia. PIU was identified in 22.9% of FTD patients compared to only 0.8% of AD patients (p < 0.001). Behaviors included compulsive social

Mode degeneracies and the Petermann excess-noise factor for unstable lasers [PDF]
. The linewidth of an unstable laser exceeds the quantum minimum by the Petermann factor K, which depends on the overlap between left and right eigenvectors of the (non-unitary) round-trip wave operator.

MOGAD Is the Most Common Cause of Isolated Optic Neuritis in Children
ABSTRACT Objectives The study aimed to characterize the clinical features, etiologies, and outcomes of isolated, first‐time pediatric ON in the post‐MOG‐IgG era. Methods This was a single‐center retrospective cohort study at Texas Children's Hospital of patients diagnosed with first‐time ON between 2018–2024, with follow‐up data collected through 2025.

Localization of Degeneracies in Families of Periodic Solutions to an ODE and their Regularization. [PDF]
: We suggest a new method of localization of degeneracies in families of periodic solutions to an ODE and their regularization, which is based upon the application of variational equations of higher order.

Osculating Versus Intersecting Circles in Space-Based Microlens Parallax Degeneracies [PDF]
I investigate the origin of arc degeneracies in satellite microlens parallax pi_e measurements with only late time data, e.g., t > t_0 + t_e as seen from the satellite.

Experimental observation of photonic nodal line degeneracies in metacrystals [PDF]
Nodal line semimetals (NLS) are three-dimensional (3D) crystals that support band crossings in the form of one-dimensional rings in the Brillouin zone.

Locating Electronic Degeneracies of Polyatomic Molecules: A General Method for Nonsymmetric Molecules [PDF]
A general method for finding all electronic degeneracies lying on the ground-state potential surface of a molecular system is proposed. The method is based on the idea that the spin pairing of the valence electrons is the major factor determining the ...
