Riemann-Hilbert Problem with Higher Order Poles for Self-Induced Transparency with Degenerate Energy Levels [PDF]
We have analysed the inverse problem for self-induced transparency with degenerate energy levels (DSIl) via the Riemann-Hilbert methodology with second order poles. The required formulae are deduced in detail and the corresponding soliton solutions are obtained. It is noticed that the profile of the single soliton is not of the usual sech type.

Description of energy levels and decay properties in 158Gd nucleus [PDF]
In this paper, IBM-1 and IBM-2 with a SU(3) limit are used to describe the 158Gd isotope. The calculations of energy levels in the ground state, beta-, and gamma-bands are made up, which account for 15 energy levels.

Squeezed light near an atomic resonance is beneficial for efficient atom-light quantum interfaces. It is desirable but challenging to directly generate in atoms due to excess noise from spontaneous emission and reabsorption. Here, we report on the use of energy-level modulation to actively control atomic coherence and interference in degenerate four ...

<p style='text-indent:20px;'>In this paper, we consider a class of finitely degenerate coupled parabolic systems. Slow and fast light propagation through ladder-type atomic media with degenerate energy levels
We investigate the weak probe pulse propagation through the atomic medium, in the presence of the strong control laser field, under the regime of the electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT). These fields couple to the medium by forming the 3-level ladder configuration.

Multiscale dynamics of open three-level quantum systems with two quasi-degenerate levels [PDF]
We consider a three-level quantum system interacting with a bosonic thermal reservoir. Two energy levels of the system are nearly degenerate but well separated from the third one.

The generalized relativistic harmonic oscillator with a point interaction
We study the perturbation of the one-dimensional generalized relativistic harmonic oscillator (GRHO) by a Lorentz scalar delta-shaped interaction. By exactly solving the implied Dirac equation, we show that the presence of the singular potential brings ...
