Population of Landau energy levels by charged particles of degenerate magnetized Fermi gases

open access: closedRussian Physics Journal, 1994
The population of the Landau energy levels (from the zero level to the maximum level) is determined as a function of the quantizing magnetic field strength and the charged-particle concentration, for nonrelativistic proton and electron gases and relativistic electron gases.

Influence of the intrinsic magnetic moment of an electron on the filling of energy levels of a nonrelativistic degenerate electron gas in a quantizing magnetic field

open access: closedRussian Physics Journal, 1992
The effect of a quantizing magnetic field on the filling of energy subbands of a degenerate nonrelativistic electron gas, whose magnetic moments are parallel and antiparallel to the direction of the field, is studied. Calculations are made under the assumption that the Fermi kinetic energy of the electron system increases as a result of Pauli's ...

Numerical simulation of nonstationary effects of radiation polarisation for the Λ interaction scheme in the case of degenerate energy levels

open access: closedQuantum Electronics, 2009
Nonstationary polarisation effects in a medium with the Λ-scheme of energy levels with the quantum numbers of the total angular momentum equal to 0, 2, and 1 are numerically simulated. The analysis is performed in the slowly varying envelope approximation taking into account the inhomogeneous broadening of quantum transition lines.

Energies of, and Transition Intensities Associated with, the Rotational Levels of Nearly Degenerate A1A2 Pairs of Vibronic States in Molecules of Symmetry C3v

open access: closedThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 1963
Expressions for the energies of the rotational levels associated with a nearly degenerate A1A2 pair of vibronic states in a molecule of symmetry C3v are presented. These expressions take into consideration Coriolis interaction between the levels associated with the A1 vibronic state and the levels associated with the A2 vibronic state.
