Implicit methods for the simple wave equation [PDF]
A family of finite difference methods is developed for the numerical solution of the simple wave equation. Local truncation errors are cal- culated for each member of the family and each is analyzed for stability.

Ergodicity for SDEs and approximations: Locally Lipschitz vector fields and degenerate noise [PDF]
The ergodic properties of SDEs, and various time discretizations for SDEs, are studied. The ergodicity of SDEs is established by using techniques from the theory of Markov chains on general state spaces, such as that expounded by Meyn-Tweedie ...

Dynamics of an impact oscillator near a degenerate graze [PDF]
We give a complete analysis of low-velocity dynamics close to grazingfor a generic one degree of freedom impact oscillator. This includes nondegenerate (quadratic) grazing and minimallydegenerate (cubic) grazing, corresponding respectively to ...

A class of abstract quasi-linear evolution equations of second order [PDF]
In this paper we study the abstract quasi-linear evolution equation of second order formula here in a general banach space z. it is well-known that the abstract quasi-linear theory due to kato [10, 11] is widely applicable to quasi-linear partial ...

Giant Magneto-Optical Effects in Two-Dimensional Flat-Band Antiferromagnets. [PDF]
RuOCl2${\rm RuOCl}{_2}$, a two‐dimensional antiferromagnet, hosts energy bands with pronounced directional flatness. This study demonstrates that the flat‐band‐induced optical transitions yield strongly anisotropic absorption and a record‐large magneto‐optical Schafer–Hubert effect, alongside exceptional linear dichroism exceeding 50%.

Nonlinear fredholm functional-integral equation of first kind with degenerate kernel and integral maxima [PDF]
In this note, the problems of solving by the aid of regularization method for a nonlinear Fredholm functional-integral equation of the first kind with degenerate kernel and integral maxima are considered. In using the regularization method, we denote the

The Shewanella oneidensis Fic enzyme SoFic targets the switch‐I region of EF‐Tu for AMPylation
Fic enzymes mediate diverse post‐translational modifications across all domains of life, including AMPylation. Prokaryotic EF‐Tu can be AMPylated and deAMPylated by the conserved Fic enzyme SoFic. Structural and biochemical approaches were used to characterize the effect of AMPylation on EF‐Tu, SoFic's enzymatic activities, and the enzyme‐target ...
