Inverse problem of determining the coefficients in a degenerate parabolic equation
We consider the inverse problem of identifying the time-dependent coefficients in a degenerate parabolic equation. The conditions of existence and uniqueness of the classical solution to this problem are established. We investigate the case of weak

On an Anisotropic Parabolic Equation on the Domain with a Disjoint Boundary
Consider the anisotropic parabolic equation with the variable exponents vt=∑i=1n(bi(x)vxiqix-2vxi)xi, where bi(x),qi(x)∈C1(Ω¯), qi(x)>1, and bi(x)≥0. If {bi(x)} is not degenerate on Σp⊂∂Ω, a part of the boundary, but is degenerate on the remained part ∂Ω∖

Inverse Design of Active‐Source Metamaterials for Thermal Camouflage with Arbitrary Active Sources
Active‐source metamaterials (ASM) revolutionize thermal camouflage by enabling the precise manipulation of heat signatures, transforming any active source into a desired thermal pattern. This breakthrough technology holds immense potential for infrared stealth, advanced thermal management, and energy‐efficient architecture, offering unprecedented ...

Carleman Estimates and null controllability of coupled degenerate systems [PDF]
In this paper, we study the null controllability of weakly degenerate coupled parabolic systems with two different diffusion coefficients and one control force. To obtain this aim, we develop first new global Carleman estimates for degenerate parabolic equations with weight functions different from the ones in the previous works.

Enhancing Thermoelectric Performance of Cd₃P₂ by Alloying with Dirac Material Cd₃As₂
This study demonstrates that alloying Cd₃P₂ with Dirac material Cd₃As₂ significantly enhances its thermoelectric performance. Key improvements include increased carrier mobility, reduced effective mass, and lower deformation potential, resulting in a doubled power factor and improved thermoelectric efficiency, which renders this material applicable for

Controllability of nonlinear degenerate parabolic cascade systems
This article studies of null controllability property of nonlinear coupled one dimensional degenerate parabolic equations. These equations form a cascade system, that is, the solution of the first equation acts as a control in the second equation and

Continuity estimates for degenerate parabolic double-phase equations via nonlinear potentials [PDF]
In this article, we study regularity properties for degenerate parabolic double-phase equations. We establish continuity estimates for bounded weak solutions in terms of elliptic Riesz potentials on the right-hand side of the equation.

The cauchy problem of a degenerate parabolic equation
This note is concerned with the existence of a weak solution for a degenerate Cauchy problem of parabolic type in then-dimensional spaceRn. The degenerate property is in the sense that the matrix (aij(t,x)) involved in the differential operator is not necessarily positive definite.
