A new smooth failure criterion for concrete inspired by Lubliner's condition
Abstract A new failure criterion with 10 parameters is proposed, based on Lubliner's idea of joining two Drucker–Prager cones. The novelty lies in the way of introducing deviatoric shape variation: through two Podgórski's functions. This feature allows for improving plane stress cross‐section's compatibility with experimental data.

Numerical analysis of debonding behavior of FRP sheets bonded to concrete focusing on mortar skin
Abstract This paper proposes a novel simple method for finite element analysis (FEA) to simulate the debonding behavior of fiber‐reinforced polymer (FRP) sheets bonded to concrete. This study focuses on the mortar skin of the concrete surface layer, which fails during FRP sheet debonding.

Temporal pulse shaping aspects of refractive X‐ray lenses
This work investigates the temporal effects of refractive X‐ray lenses on ultra‐short pulses from X‐ray free‐electron lasers. Using both a full Fresnel theory model and a simplified ray‐tracing approach, the paper analyzes the pulse elongation and spatio‐temporal distortions introduced by these focusing optics.Refractive X‐ray lenses are frequently ...

Enhancing hard X‐ray beamline performance at SwissFEL through spontaneous radiation measurements
Methods using spontaneous radiation to monitor and optimize the Aramis hard X‐ray beamline are presented, together with the eight‐year evolution of these improvements and the resulting record performance. The hard X‐ray beamline (Aramis) of the Swiss free‐electron laser (SwissFEL) has been in user operation since the end of 2017 and its performance has ...
