Review on Uniaxial Negative Thermal Expansion of Tr‐Zr Superconductors
In this paper, we review recent research progress of a study of uniaxial negative thermal expansion (NTE) along the c‐axis with transition (Tr) metal zirconide TrZr2 and TrZr3 superconductors. We introduce the unique thermal expansion properties of TrZr2 and TrZr3 and the flexibility of controlling thermal expansion properties.

Parasite occurrence and infection estimates vary through time and space, making understanding the underlying drivers highly complex. Comparative studies based on empirical data must consider the factors of variation involved in estimating infection metrics in natural populations to make appropriate and reliable comparisons. Using a multi‐scale approach,

We followed the functionalization steps outlined in the figure to obtain carbon fibers (CFs) functionalized with branched polyethyleneimine (b‐PEI). The entire process was carried out under mild conditions, including plasma activation and low‐temperature heating, using an eco‐friendly solvent (water).

Performance analysis of solid‐state shear milling of plastic particles
Solid State Shear (S3M) Milling of Plastic Particles: Flow Features and Particles Size Reduction. Abstract The paper presents an analysis of plastic particles flow and breakage in a solid‐state shear mill (S3M). This mill resembles the traditional stone mill used for flour milling. Particle flow and their breakage are modeled as being the result of the

Schematics of calculated alignments of the valence band maximum (VBM) and conduction band minimum (in eV) for α‐Al2O3, α‐Ga2O3, α‐Rh2O3, and α‐(Rh0.54Al0.46)2O3, β‐(Al0.5Ga0.5)2O3, and β‐(Rh0.25Al0.75)2O3 alloys obtained by hybrid density functional calculations are presented. The zero of energy axis is set to the VBM of α‐Al2O3.

Anticlastic Curvature and Material Freedom
Anticlastic curvature occurs in bent bars for positive Poisson's ratio; synclastic curvature occurs for negative Poisson's ratio provided the material is homogeneous and elastic. Some planar negative Poisson's ratio materials exhibit anticlastic saddle curvature rather than convex curvature in bending due to effects of 3D structure.

A System of Degenerate Parabolic Equations
SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, 1990The system of two nonlinear equations which arises in plasma physics is considered. The equations are of degenerate parabolic type. The global existence theorem for the Cauchy problem is proved. The proof is based on the Lagrangian transformation, thus using a particular structure of the system.

Nonuniqueness of solutions of a degenerate parabolic equation
Annali di Matematica Pura ed Applicata (1923 -), 1992We give some results about nonuniqueness of the solutions of the Cauchy problem for a class of nonlinear degenerate parabolic equations arising in several applications in biology and physics. This phenomenon is a truly nonlinear one and occurs because of the degeneracy of the equation at the points where u=0.
