Degree centrality, eigenvector centrality and the relation between them in Twitter

2016 IEEE International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics, Information & Communication Technology (RTEICT), 2016
In Social Media the directed links formed between the users, are used for the transfer of information. Based on previous research, the rate of information transfer in a social network depends on the strength of connections of the user in the network, which is measured by the centrality value.

Altered degree centrality and functional connectivity in girls with central precocious puberty

Brain Imaging and Behavior
Girls who suffer from central precocious puberty (CPP) are at risk of experiencing detrimental psychological and behavioural consequences, along with impaired brain development. However, the mechanism by which puberty hormones affect patients with CPP remains unclear.

Generators of central simplep-algebras of degree 3

Israel Journal of Mathematics, 2002
Every cyclic central division algebra \(A\) of prime degree \(p\) over a field \(F\) of characteristic \(p\) is generated by two elements \(x\), \(y\) subject to relations of the form \(x^p-x=a\), \(y^p=b\), and \(yxy^{-1}=x+1\), for some \(a,b\in F\), with \(b\neq 0\). Let \(X_A=\{x\in A\mid x^p-x\in F,\;x\notin F\}\) and \(Y_A=\{y\in A\mid y^p\in F,\;

When Do Degree Centrality and Tie Strength Centrality have Divergent Validity?

Academy of Management Proceedings, 2018
Scholars often debate whether degree centrality–the total number of ties that connect to an actor–or tie strength centrality–the total strength of those ties–is the more appropriate measure of how ...

Investigating Visual Perception of Degree Centrality in Graph Visualization

IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics
Degree centrality (DC) is a widely used metric that measures node importance in data space. A node-link diagram is a commonly used graph visualization to help viewers identify important nodes in visual space. Previous graph perception studies largely concentrated on revealing perception principles in visual space.
