Degree of conversion of seven visible light‐cured posterior composites
Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, 1988SummaryThe infrared spectra of seven commercially available posterior composite resins were analysed by ratioing the C = C aliphatic peak to the C = C aromatic peak. The degree of conversion ranged from 43–5 to 73–8%. The result was similar to the range previously obtained from unfilled Bis‐GMA based resins and commercial anterior composites.

Degree of conversion of composites measured by DTA and FTIR
Dental Materials, 2001Differential thermal analysis (DTA) using a split fiber optic light source has been reported to be a convenient method of measuring the degree of conversion (DC) of light-activated composites. The purpose of this study was to compare the results by DTA and Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and evaluate the usefulness of the DTA ...

Gaze as a Function of Conversation and Degree of Love
The Journal of Psychology, 1976The possibility that Rubin's findings of greater mutual gazing between strong than weak lovers and between strangers could be attributed to the occurrence of more conversation in strong love conditions was tested. Ss were selected from an undergraduate population.

Contraction Stress Related to Degree of Conversion and Reaction Kinetics
Journal of Dental Research, 2002Polymerization shrinkage of composites bonded to cavity preparations generates stress on the tooth/restoration interface. The purpose of this study was to verify the influence of degree of conversion and speed of polymerization reaction on contraction stress.

The Mathematic Method of Membership Conversion from Degree of Coordinates to Degree of Points
2009 International Conference on Environmental Science and Information Application Technology, 2009In any multi-indexes uncertainty decisions, if choosing membership function to describe the uncertainty of every space-index value about some status, it must meet membership degree conversion, which must solve the conversion from membership degree of coordinates to membership degree of points. But the present methods affect the credibility of result of

Effect of light curing protocol on degree of conversion of composites
Acta Odontologica Scandinavica, 2014To evaluate the degree of conversion (DC) of two light-cured composites with different protocols of light curing. One hundred and ninety two specimens (n = 8) were prepared (5 mm × 2 mm) according to experimental groups: two composite resins (Filtek Supreme and four seasons); three light curing protocols [20 s with the tip of the light curing unit (LCU)

Degree of vinyl conversion in experimental ACP composites
2008A unique amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP)-based composite with the potential to arrest caries development and regenerate mineral-deficient tooth structures has recently been developed. When embedded in polymerized methacrylate matrices and exposed to an aqueous environment, ACP releases sufficient levels of remineralizing calcium and phosphate ions in

Degree of Conversion of Three Light-Cured Orthodontic Adhesives
Key Engineering Materials, 2018Introduction: The aim of this in-vitro study was to analyze the polymerization ability of 3 light-cured orthodontic adhesives by determining the degree of conversion (DC). Materials and Methods: Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) was used to evaluate the DC after polymerization immediately, 1 day, 7 days, and 30 days.

Degree of Conversion of Experimental Light-Cured Orthodontic Adhesives
Key Engineering Materials, 2019The objectives of this study were to compare the polymerization of three experimental light-cured orthodontic adhesives by determining their degree of conversion (DOC) and to compare the results with a control (Transbond XT; 3M Unitek, USA). Three formulas of an in-house orthodontic adhesive were divided according to monomer ratio (BisGMA:TEGDMA) into ...

Polymerization of aromatic methacrylates to high degrees of conversion
Die Makromolekulare Chemie, 1983AbstractPolymerizations of 2,4,6‐tribromophenyl methacrylate (1a), p‐tolyl methacrylate (1b), p‐cyclohexylphenyl methacrylate (1c), and p‐methoxyphenyl methacrylate (1d) were carried out up to conversions higher than 99%. The kinetics of the process was followed by the refractometric technique using a He‐Ne laser as light source.
