Study on zinc removal behavior in simulated pre-reduction sintering process [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials
In this study, blast furnace dust and iron concentrate were used as raw materials and graphite as reducing agent for mixed compacts. The briquettes were roasted in a high temperature tube furnace at 1200°C and kept for a certain time to simulate the pre ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Load vibration reduction in rotary cranes using robust two-degree-of-freedom control approach

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2016
In the control of the rotary crane, it is important to consider the trade-off between the boom positioning characteristics and the sway of the load. However, it seems difficult to obtain good control performance in both of them using 1-degree-of-freedom ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Experiment study on the effect of iron ore sinter behavior with adding biomass

open access: yesMetalurgija, 2018
This paper focused on the effect of sinter behavior with biomass. The changes of the relevant performance indexes of this sinter behavior, emission laws of harmful gases in flue gas emissions and the mechanism of emission reduction was studied in this ...

Degree reduction of disk rational Bézier curves

open access: yesCoRR, 2014
How to quickly and stably realize the degree reduction of the rational Bezier curve is an open problem in CAGD. Based on the weighted least squares method and weighted sum method of multi-objective optimization, this paper transforms the degree reduction problem of the rational Bézier curve into a convex optimization problem and then uses quadratic ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Redisplacement after Closed Reduction in Pediatric Both-Bone Forearm Fractures: The Role of Initial Fracture Angulation and Cast Index

open access: yesAdvanced Biomedical Research
Background: Both-bone forearm fractures are common in children and often treated with closed reduction and casting, though redisplacement remains a concern.
