Landfarming of DEHP contaminated soil
1990The potential of passive landfarming as a technique for the remediation of soil highly polluted with bis(2-ethylhexyl phthalte (DEHP) was investigated both in laboratory simulations and in a pilot scale experiment. Nutrients and humic substances were added in both cases. A nitrogen-fixating plantcover was established on the pilotscale landfarming plot.

For this purpose we determined the five major DEHP metabolites in urine samples of a volunteer before and after a platelet donation (dual-needle technique).
