Determination of Dehumidification Capacity of Water Wall with Controlled Water Temperature: Experimental Verification under Laboratory Conditions [PDF]

open access: yesSustainability, 2021
Water elements with flowing water on the surface are common in buildings as a form of indoor decoration, and they are most often perceived as passive humidifiers. However, by controlling water temperature, they can be also used for air dehumidification.

Cost-effectiveness analysis of greenhouse dehumidification and integrated pest management using air’s water holding capacity-a case study of the Trella Greenhouse in Taizhou, China [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2021
Greenhouse technology is becoming an indispensable and feasible solution for modern crop production methods. Technological progress has reduced the impact of severe weather conditions on greenhouse crop yields in high temperature climate. Cooling and dehumidifying are the key to ensure the required temperature and humidity range inside the greenhouse ...

Graphene oxide papers with high water adsorption capacity for air dehumidification [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
AbstractGraphene oxide (GO) has shown a high potential to adsorb and store water molecules due to the oxygen-containing functional groups on its hydrophilic surface. In this study, we characterized the water absorbing properties of graphene oxide in the form of papers.

Parameter Selection for the Dehumidification System of the Main Cable of Suspension Bridge Based on Ventilation Experiments

open access: yesBuildings, 2023
Moisture in the main cable is the main cause of steel wire corrosion. Modern suspension bridges utilize main cable dehumidification systems to prevent corrosion. The main cable ventilation experiment can help the selection of the system parameters.

The sunergy greenhouse - one yer of measurements in a next generation greenhouse [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In summer, greenhouses have to deal with an excess of solar energy which is mostly discharged by ventilation. In moderate climates, on a yearly base this discharge of energy is comparable to the energy demand for heating.

Techno-economic and emission analysis of solar assisted desiccant dehumidification: An experimental and numerical study

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2023
In humid climates, it is challenging to maintain moisture content in the air for human thermal comfort and industrial applications. Commercial dehumidifiers rely on conventional electric heaters to regenerate desiccant material, which accounts for ...

Experimental Study on the Heat Transfer Capacity and Dehumidification Performance of a Parallel Flow Evaporator for a Heat Pump Dryer [PDF]

open access: yesKorean Journal of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering, 2013
Abstract In the present study, the performances of a fin-tube evaporator and three PF evaporators for a heat pump dryer were experimentally investigated. Among the tested evaporators, the PF3 type evaporator showed the highest values of heattransfer capacity and dehumidification performance, while the fin-tube evaporator had the lowest values.

Variations of Cooling and Dehumidification Degree Days in Major Climate Zones of China during the Past 57 Years

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2023
In previous studies, the concept of degree days has been widely used to indicate heating or cooling energy requirements, but it does not consider the dehumidification effect.
