Long‐term data reveals increase in vehicle collisions of endangered birds in Hokkaido, Japan

Data obtained from the Ministry of the Environment, Japan, showed that vehicle collisions of endangered birds on Hokkaido had significantly increased between 1991 and 2021. Possible factors include increased population sizes, an increase in the probability of accidents, and an increase in the probability of accidents being reported.
