Cavitation-jet deinking: A new technology for deinking of recovered paper
TAPPI Journal, 2014A new method and in-house device for treating secondary fiber were developed. The method is based on the fluid-jet cavitation technique. In this apparatus, pulp suspension was injected into the reacting vessel by using a high-speed jet that produced cavitation bubbles around the jet. The impact of the collapse of cavitation bubbles detached ink, binder,

Application of Deinking Selectivity in Evaluating the Deinking Performance of Flotation Equipments
Advanced Materials Research, 2012A deinking progress selectivity concept that be expressed by deinking efficiency and pulp yield was proposed for comparing different flotation equipments or progresses. Expression of deinking selectivity was given out in the paper, which is expressed by the ratio of deinking efficiency and flotation rejection loss.

Neutral Deinking Process Optimization and Comparison with Alkaline Deinking of Old Newsprint
Advanced Materials Research, 2011Pulping parameters in neutral deinking of old newsprint (ONP) and its impacts on deinking efficiency were investigated as well as comparison with alkaline deinking was carried out in this paper. The results showed that the low pulping consistency and short pulping time mostly contributed to the removal of ink in neutral pulping stage.

Journal of Environmental Science and Health . Part A: Environmental Science and Engineering and Toxicology, 1993
Abstract A study was made of the quality of deinking sludge originating from five wood‐processing factories in four European countries in 1990. Heavy metals and polychlorinated biphenyls were the main focus of this study and their concentrations were found to be low.

Hydrodynamics of deinking flotation
International Journal of Mineral Processing, 1999Abstract The technological parameters relating to the aeration, mixing and separation steps of the flotation cells currently used in the field of waste paper recycling are reviewed in this paper. A laboratory flotation cell was designed to study the effects of the hydrodynamic flotation parameters, and tested on different deinking furnish.

Deinking of newsprint by flotation method
1995There is much current interest in development of processes which lead to . greater utilisation of secondary fibres in papermalcing operations, both in Australia and overseas. The removal of ink from paper (deinking) is a major step in these processes. After repulping, ink can be removed from aqueous suspension by a number of techniques, one of which is

Deinking of Wastepaper -- An Overview
1982More than half of the wastepaper collected for recycling is printed; therefore, most of it requires deinking. The deinking process is classified into two main categories: (1) chemical deinking and (2) ultrasonic deinking. Both deinking processes, in turn, are subdivided into two systems: (a) deinking by washing and (b) deinking by flotation.

Characterization of Deinked Pulp for Newsprint
Trans. of the Xth Fund. Res. Symp. Oxford, 1993, 1993Mill-made deinked pulp fibres for news print were compared with virgin single pulps in terms of pulp properties. The results showed that fundamental fibre properties ,which had been proposed by many researchers, were useful for the characterization of deinked pulp, provided their fractions were compared.

New process engineering for deinking
2004Possibilities to develop the deinking process towards an easier detachment of inks, optimal fragmentation of inks and a less wearing process for the wood fibres were studied. Work was done to optimise the use of deinking chemicals with different raw material and deinking processes, taking under consideration new technologies and the energy consumption.
