Quantitative Assessment of Mesoscale Cellular Order and Organization in the Mouse Hippocampus

open access: yesHippocampus, Volume 36, Issue 6, November 2026.
ABSTRACT The hippocampus is characterized by a stereotypical macroscopic structure, where the nuclei are densely and heterogeneously packed among different subregions of the hippocampus. Despite the fact that tissue‐specific cellular organization has been implicated in neural function, it has been technically challenging to quantitatively analyze ...

Clustering by Descending to the Nearest Neighbor in the Delaunay Graph Space

open access: yesCoRR, 2015
In our previous works, we proposed a physically-inspired rule to organize the data points into an in-tree (IT) structure, in which some undesired edges are allowed to occur. By removing those undesired or redundant edges, this IT structure is divided into several separate parts, each representing one cluster.

Caractérisation des tissus urbains à partir de l’analyse structurelle des réseaux viaires

open access: yesCybergeo, 2012
Street networks shape the urban layout that structures the city spaces and delineates homogeneous urban areas. We focus on the study of urban morphology from a structural analysis of the streets’ network. The work on a geographic model allows formalizing

Interpretability and Representability of Commutative Algebra, Algebraic Topology, and Topological Spectral Theory for Real‐World Data

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, Volume 2, Issue 5, October 2026.
This article investigates how persistent homology, persistent Laplacians, and persistent commutative algebra reveal complementary geometric, topological, and algebraic invariants or signatures of real‐world data. By analyzing shapes, synthetic complexes, fullerenes, and biomolecules, the article shows how these mathematical frameworks enhance ...

Communication-Efficient Construction of the Plane Localized Delaunay Graph [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Let $V$ be a finite set of points in the plane. We present a 2-local algorithm that constructs a plane $\frac{4 π\sqrt{3}}{9}$-spanner of the unit-disk graph $\UDG(V)$. This algorithm makes only one round of communication and each point of $V$ broadcasts at most 5 messages.

Classifying Urban Functional Zones via a Multilevel Graph Neural Network and Multimodal Geospatial Data

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Urban functional zone (UFZ) classification can provide important data support for urban management. Existing studies often use multimodal data to improve UFZ classification, but the spatial context information is not sufficiently mined.

Implementation of an Efficient Constraint Solver for the Layout of Graphs in Delaunay [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Delaunay [2] is a visualization system to display and query object-oriented databases. It supports DOODLE [1], a visual and declarative meta-language, with which users can specify the display of quantitative information (such as bar charts and pie charts) and of qualitative information (such as graphs).

Dushnik–Miller dimension of TD-Delaunay complexes

open access: yes, 2020
International audienceTD-Delaunay graphs, where TD stands for triangular distance, are a variation of the classical Delaunay triangulations obtained from a specific convex distance function (Chew and Drysdale, 1985). In Bonichon et al. (2010) the authors

GNN-Based Building Structure Characterization Framework for Seismic Risk Assessment

open access: yesInternational Journal of Disaster Risk Science
Building structure characteristics are essential for seismic risk assessment and management. However, accurately classifying building structural types at the city scale remains challenging due to limited data availability, spatial heterogeneity, and the ...

Abstract Voronoi-like Graphs: Extending Delaunay's Theorem and Applications

open access: yesCoRR, 2023
Any system of bisectors (in the sense of abstract Voronoi diagrams) defines an arrangement of simple curves in the plane. We define Voronoi-like graphs on such an arrangement, which are graphs whose vertices are locally Voronoi. A vertex $v$ is called locally Voronoi, if $v$ and its incident edges appear in the Voronoi diagram of three sites.
