Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

Multi-Carrier Modulation: An Evolution From Time-Frequency Domain to Delay-Doppler Domain

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Communications
The recently proposed orthogonal delay-Doppler division multiplexing (ODDM) modulation, which is a delay-Doppler (DD) domain multi-carrier (DDMC) modulation scheme based on the DD domain orthogonal pulse (DDOP), is studied. We first revisit the linear time-varying (LTV) channel model for the wireless channel, and review the conventional multi-carrier ...

Cyclic Delay-Doppler Shift: A Simple Transmit Diversity Technique for Delay-Doppler Waveforms in Doubly Selective Channels

open access: yes, 2023
Delay-Doppler waveform design has been considered as a promising solution to achieve reliable communication under high-mobility channels for the space-air-ground-integrated networks (SAGIN).

Design and Modeling of a High‐Displacement, Skin‐Integrated Flexible Electromagnetic Actuator for Haptic Interfaces in Virtual Reality

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A flexible, skin‐integrated electromagnetic actuator is developed for wearable virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR) haptic systems. A tunable design model enables control over displacement and resonance frequency. The system is validated through a custom VR application with a 6 × 4 actuator array, demonstrating real‐time, spatially targeted tactile ...

Tropomyosin 1 Promotes Platelet Adhesion and Clot Contraction Separate from Its Roles in Developmental Hematopoiesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Genome‐wide association studies (GWAS) link the Tropomyosin 1 (Tpm1) locus to quantitative blood trait variation, but related mechanisms are unclear. Tpm1 encodes an actin‐binding protein that regulates actin filament diversity, cell adhesion, signaling, and actomyosin contractility.

Low Complexity Channel Estimation for OTFS Modulation with Fractional Delay and Doppler

open access: yes, 2021
We consider the problem of accurate channel estimation for OTFS based systems with few transmit/receive antennas, where additional sparsity due to large number of antennas is not a possibility. For such systems the sparsity of the effective delay-Doppler

A Skull Bone Marrow‐to‐Brain Axis Links Osteoblastic Activity to Myeloid Cell Trafficking, Cerebral Blood Flow, and Cognition in Alzheimer's Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that Alzheimer's disease–linked APP expression in bone‐forming cells drives skull bone marrow remodeling and alters its vascular connections to the brain. These changes disrupt immune cell trafficking, cerebral blood flow, and cognition. Targeting bone marrow macrophages restores brain function, highlighting a previously unrecognized

Low-Complexity Channel Estimation for OTFS via Coordinate Descent Exploiting Delay-Domain Sparsity

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society
Orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) modulation has attracted considerable attention for high-mobility wireless communications; however, accurate channel estimation (CE) remains challenging in the presence of fractional Doppler shifts.
