Delays. Propagation. Conservation Laws.
2012Since the very first paper of J. Bernoulli in 1728, a connection exists between initial boundary value problems for hyperbolic Partial Differential Equations (PDE) in the plane (with a single space coordinate accounting for wave propagation) and some associated Functional Equations (FE).

A new analytical delay model for high-speed CML circuits is presented. It is applicable to high-speed/low-voltage-swing silicon and HBT CML circuits operating at medium or high current densities. The model is based on the bipolar SPICE parameters file, and can be used to estimate the propagation delay time of CML circuits under different operating ...

Delay Hierarchy Propagation Model
2005Construction projects are always exposed to delay. Research has shown that most projects encounter delays and this problem is a global one. Previous research related to delays in construction projects have been dedicated to measuring and ranking the direct delays that have occurred.

Cyclic Interference Alignment by propagation delay
2012 50th Annual Allerton Conference on Communication, Control, and Computing (Allerton), 2012In the present paper, Interference Alignment by propagation delay is applied to a delay-based X-channel and a delay-based K- user interference channel. The key ingredient in our approach is the cyclic permutation property of the delay-based channel model that uses cyclic right-shifts in polynomials.

Time delay variations in HF propagation
Radio Science, 1982An experiment has been established to determine the range of environmentally induced fluctuations in the propagation of HF radio signals. Data are collected with a fully digitized system that is stablized with a cesium beam standard. Initial efforts have been directed toward monitoring at San Diego, California, the time of arrival of WWV transmissions ...

Interplay Between Synaptic Delays and Propagation Delays in Neural Field Equations
SIAM Journal on Applied Dynamical Systems, 2013Neural field equations describe the activity of neural populations at a mesoscopic level. Although the early derivation of these equations introduced space dependent delays coming from the finite speed of signal propagation along axons, there have been few studies concerning their role in shaping the (nonlinear) dynamics of neural activity.

Analysis of TRL circuit propagation delay
Papers and discussions presented at the December 3-5, 1958, eastern joint computer conference: Modern computers: objectives, designs, applications on XX - AIEE-ACM-IRE '58 (Eastern), 1958Synopsis: A program to design transistor-resistor logic (TRL) circuits and compile TRL propagation delay tables on a digital computer is presently underway at the Sylvania Data Processing Laboratory. This paper points to the need for such a program and describes transistor and TRL circuit studies that have resulted in the basic relationships being ...

Particle filtering with propagation delayed measurements
2010 IEEE Aerospace Conference, 2010This paper investigates the problem of propagation delayed measurements in a particle filtering scenario. Based on implicit constraints specified by target dynamics and physics rules of signal propagation, authors apply the ideas that were first proposed in their previous work to the case of particle filters.

A propagation model basedonstationary random delays
2011 IEEE Statistical Signal Processing Workshop (SSP), 2011Most propagation media are characterized by parameters which are time and space varying and cannot be measured. This paper proposes a unified model which is able to fit a wide range of wave spectra encountered in acoustics, ultrasonics, and electromagnetics.

Random access with large propagation delay
IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, 1997Random access to a packet broadcast channel with large propagation delay is investigated. A protocol is presented that combines slotted ALOHA random access with the use of forward-error-correction (FEC) across transmitted packets. Expressions for the throughput, delay, and drift of this protocol are derived. Numerical studies and asymptotic analyses of
