Hands‐on protocol for preparing water‐soluble fractions from agri‐food samples for NMR‐based metabolomics analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This research protocol outlines a workflow for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)‐based metabolomics in the agri‐food sector. Using two case studies—strawberry leaves (solid matrix) and wine (liquid matrix)—it details the procedures for sample preparation, data acquisition, and processing.

Low Cost Carriers Induce Specific and Identifiable Delay Propagation Patterns: An Analysis of the EU and US Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access
The impact of air transport delays and their propagation has long been studied, mainly from environmental and mobility viewpoints, using a wide range of data analysis tools and simulations.

Antibiofilm activity of a chionodracine‐derived peptide by NMR‐based metabolomics of cell‐free supernatant of Acinetobacter baumannii clinical strains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KHS‐Cnd peptide is able to impair biofilm formation and disaggregate mature biofilms in Acinetobacter baumannii clinical isolates. Differences in extracellular metabolites reflect changes in biofilm metabolism due to KHS‐Cnd treatment. Among the differentially represented extracellular metabolites upon KHS‐Cnd treatment, the significantly altered ...

The Light-cone Effect on the Shapiro Time Delay

open access: yes, 2002
We investigate the light-cone effect on the Shapiro time delay. The extra time delay caused by Jupiter on the 8th of September 2002 can be measured by advanced VLBI (very long baseline interferometry).

FGFR Like1 drives esophageal cancer progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and notch signalling: insights from clinical data and next‐generation sequencing analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

Natural Products as Geroprotective Modulators in Diabetic Nephropathy: A Mechanistic Framework Integrating Aging Hallmarks and the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 Axis

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Natural products target the aging kidney in diabetic nephropathy by restoring the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 axis, reducing oxidative stress, inflammation, fibrosis, and cellular senescence while enhancing mitochondrial biogenesis and antioxidant defenses.

Visual Recovery Reflects Cortical MeCP2 Sensitivity in Rett Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rett syndrome (RTT) is a devastating neurodevelopmental disorder with developmental regression affecting motor, sensory, and cognitive functions. Sensory disruptions contribute to the complex behavioral and cognitive difficulties and represent an important target for therapeutic interventions.

Electrodynamics with non-linear constitutive laws and memory effects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Maxwell's equations governing the propagation of electro-magnetic fields are considered in conjunction with a class of material relations, which are capable of repre- senting memory effects and time ...

Isochronal synchrony and bidirectional communication with delay-coupled nonlinear oscillators

open access: yes, 2006
We propose a basic mechanism for isochronal synchrony and communication with mutually delay-coupled chaotic systems. We show that two Ikeda ring oscillators (IROs), mutually coupled with a propagation delay, synchronize isochronally when both are ...

Improved Floating Point Multiplier Design based on Canonical Sign Digit

open access: yesInternational Journal of Technology, 2014
Improved floating point (FP) multiplier based on canonical signed digit code (CSDC) has been reported in this paper. Array structure was implemented through Hatamain’s scheme of partial product generation along with Baugh-Wooley’s (B.W) sign digit ...
