Evaluation of Digital Technologies for Home‐Based Assessment in People With Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Digital technologies hold promise for transforming healthcare by enhancing personalized treatments and offer valuable opportunities to improve patient care. Here, we evaluated several novel, self‐administered, home‐based, digital endpoints for their association with corresponding conventional standard clinical measures (primary) in ...

Privacy-enhanced social network routing in opportunistic networks

open access: yes, 2010
Opportunistic networking-forwarding messages in a disconnected mobile ad hoc network via any encountered nodes-offers a new mechanism for exploiting the mobile devices that many users already carry.

A DTN routing scheme for quasi-deterministic networks with application to LEO satellites topology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We propose a novel DTN routing algorithm, called DQN, specifically designed for quasi-deterministic networks with an application to satellite constellations.

Delay tolerant network simulation with VNUML [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the third ACM workshop on Challenged networks, 2008
This paper describes a simulation environment to easily create complex Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) scenarios using Virtual Network User Mode Linux (VNUML), a network virtualization environment based in User Mode Linux virtual machines running the DTN reference implementation.

Onasemnogene Abeparvovec in Patients With SMA: Interim Results of the RESTORE Registry in Japan

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective There are limited real‐world data regarding the safety and effectiveness of onasemnogene abeparvovec (OA; Zolgensma) infusion, a one‐time gene replacement therapy, for Japanese patients with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). We aimed to improve understanding of the real‐world outcomes for OA in Japan.

Performance Analysis of Abradable Coating Systems for Aircraft Gas Turbines

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Three CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/MgAl2O4 abradable liner configurations on a nickel‐superalloy are evaluated by thermal‐gradient cycling and incursion tests. Laser ablation of the bondcoat and/or Y2O3‐stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) intermediate layer increases mechanical interlocking and bonding for thick topcoats.

A data dissemination mechanism based on evaluating behavior for vehicular delay-tolerant networks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2019
Vehicular delay-tolerant networks are widely used in intelligent transport application. Vehicle nodes exchange and share various information in vehicular delay-tolerant networks. However, current delay-tolerant network routing algorithms do not take into

Routing in hybrid Delay Tolerant Networks

open access: yesComputer Communications, 2014
Abstract Delay Tolerant Networks (DTNs) have emerged as communication paradigm for providing end-to-end communication based on store-carry-forward mechanisms without the need for costly infrastructure. However, empirical studies have shown that integrating opportunistically encountered infrastructure—e.g., Internet access via WiFi—into hybrid DTNs ...

Incorporation of Selenium into Sol–Gel‐Derived Bioactive Glass: Influence on Glass Structure, Bioactivity, and its Selective Cytotoxicity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Selenium was incorporated into a sol–gel‐derived bioactive glass to enable sustained therapeutic ion release. The selenium‐containing glass preserved bioactivity while selectively inducing cytotoxicity in osteosarcoma cells and maintaining osteoblastic viability.
