Changes in the own group bias across immediate and delayed recognition tasks

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Science, 2023
Face recognition is biased in favour of in-group identity, particularly strongly for race or ethnicity but to some extent also for sex and age.

GENERALIZATION OF DELAYED MATCHING TO SAMPLE FOLLOWING TRAINING AT DIFFERENT DELAYS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior, 2001
Four groups of pigeons were trained to perform a delayed matching‐to‐sample task with a single delay of 0, 2, 4, or 6 s from the outset of training. The longer the training delay, the more sessions were required for all birds to reach the same level of response accuracy.

Familiarity, Active Memory And Pressure During A Delayed Matching-To-Sample Task In Tufted Capuchin Monkeys (Sapajus [Cebus] Apella) [PDF]

open access: yesAnimal Behavior and Cognition
Delayed matching-to-sample (DMTS) tasks are commonly used in the field of comparative cognition to study memory, including working memory. However, specific task demands vary across studies and species, and as such, DMTS tasks may engage different memory

Transfer of training from one working memory task to another: Behavioural and neural evidence

open access: yesFrontiers in Systems Neuroscience, 2015
N-back working memory (WM) tasks necessitate the maintenance and updating of dynamic rehearsal sets during performance. The delayed matching-to-sample (dMTS) task is another WM task, which in turn involves the encoding, maintenance, and retrieval of ...

Rhesus monkeys see who they hear: spontaneous cross-modal memory for familiar conspecifics. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
Rhesus monkeys gather much of their knowledge of the social world through visual input and may preferentially represent this knowledge in the visual modality.

Behavioural mimicry as an indicator of affiliation.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2021
Previous research has shown that behavioural mimicry fosters affiliation, and can be used to infer whether people belong to the same social unit. However, we still know very little about the generalizability of these findings and the individual factors ...

REINFORCER EFFICACY IN A DELAYED MATCHING‐TO‐SAMPLE TASK [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior, 1998
Five domestic hens were exposed to a delayed matching‐to‐sample task. Conditions 1, 5, and 8 were variable‐delay conditions in which five delays (0.25, 1, 2, 4, and 8 s) from the red or green sample to the presentation of the red and green comparison stimuli were presented a number of times during each session. In the fixed‐delay condition (Condition 3)
