EphB1‐Mediated Transient Blood‐Brain Barrier Opening Facilitates a Ferritin‐Based Nanotherapeutic for Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We constructed a brain‐targeted AFn‐DPZ nanodrug delivery system and identified EphB1 as its receptor on the blood‐brain barrier (BBB). This system facilitates drug transport across the BBB and thereby ameliorates cognitive impairment in Alzheimer's disease.

Neuron‐Targeted Exosomal Delivery of siRNA Against RIPK3 Slows Neurodegenerative Progression in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Engineered exosomal siRNA delivery platform enables systemic, neuron‐targeted RNA transport across the blood–brain barrier. Surface functionalization with rabies virus glycoprotein‐derived peptide facilitates receptor‐mediated transcytosis, achieving efficient cytosolic delivery and robust gene silencing. Targeting RIPK3 suppresses necroptosis, reduces

Successful embolization of a delayed splenic rupture following trauma in a child.

open access: yes, 2009
Delayed rupture of the spleen following trauma is an exceedingly rare phenomenon in children. In the case we have experienced, arterial embolization was successfully performed, surgery was avoided, and functional splenic tissue was preserved ...

Self‐Assembly of Antigenic Peptide Nanofibrils Templates the Growth of Silica Nanoparticles for Nanovaccines

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Antigenic peptides Aβ42 and E7 self‐assemble into nanofibrils; APTES and TEOS induce SiO2 NP formation on these fibrils to form SiO2@fibril nanovaccines, which activate BMDCs in vitro. In vivo, SiO2@Aβ42 fibril nanovaccines alleviate AD symptoms and clear Aβ42 plaques in APP/PS1 mice, and SiO2@E7 fibril nanovaccines inhibit tumor growth and promote ...

Synchronized Imaging of Hydrogen Peroxide and Hydroxyl Radical in Pyroptosis and Epilepsy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐responsive fluorescent probe, HH, enables synchronized visualization of H2O2 and •OH through spectrally resolved green and red channels. By tracking redox dynamics in pyroptosis and epilepsy models, HH reveals ROS elevation during seizure‐like pathology and supports evaluation of antioxidant and antiepileptic therapeutic interventions.

A Primary Extraskeletal Osteosarcoma of the Spleen: Rare Case Report

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology, 2022
Extraskeletal osteosarcoma is a rare malignant soft-tissue sarcoma that is difficult to diagnose. Surgery is a common treatment, although chemotherapy and radiotherapy are also used.

Pyrazole‐Derived Antibacterial Compounds Effectively Treat Methicillin‐Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus Infections by Inhibiting Aspartate Transcarbamoylase

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study unveils a novel antibacterial mechanism against MRSA, in which the compound Py‐27 selectively targets and inhibits aspartate transcarbamoylase (ATCase), a key enzyme in pyrimidine synthesis. This inhibition disrupts DNA replication, induces oxidative damage, leading to potent bactericidal activity.

Traumatic Rupture of the Left Hemidiaphragm with Intrathoracic Herniation of the Stomach, Hydropneumothorax and Gastric Perforation: A Case Report [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research
Traumatic Diaphragmatic Rupture (TDR) is a rare but also serious sequela of high-energy blunt thoracoabdominal trauma, which is frequently associated with concomitant thoracic as well as intra-abdominal injuries. Delayed or missed diagnosis can result in

Genetic Ablation and Multi‐Omics Profiling Reveal CEP55 as a Key Driver of Tumorigenesis in Diverse Cancer Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Genetic ablation of Cep55 in Pten‐deficient mouse models delays tumorigenesis. Integrated multi‐omics analyses (proteomics, phosphoproteomics, and spatial transcriptomics) reveal that CEP55 regulates oncogenic signaling (RAS/ERK, PI3K/AKT), integrin/FAK‐mediated adhesion, extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling, and endocytosis.
