A Mobile Glycosylation Locus Modulates Cell Wall Architecture in Lactobacillus crispatus
Serial propagation of Lactobacillus crispatus triggers transposon‐mediated loss of a mobile glycosylation gene fragment (GT3), destabilising the glycosyltransferase complex and remodelling the cell wall with 20%–25% thinner peptidoglycan, while sugar composition remains unchanged.

Abstract figure legend Fetal growth restriction (FGR) is a common pregnancy complication associated with long‐term neurodevelopmental impairments. Using the reduced uterine perfusion pressure (RUPP) rat model of placental insufficiency‐induced FGR, this study demonstrates that FGR leads to persistent anatomical, histological and behavioural ...

Abstract The application of automated ground vehicles (AGVs) is well‐established in closed environments such as port terminals, while their operation in open areas remains challenging. In this work, we set out to overcome this limitation by introducing platooning as a transfer mode in heterogeneous vehicle networks.

They both have Delft roots, but their standpoints in the climate discussion are by no means similar: Professor Pier Vellinga worried publicly, whereas Professor Salle Kroonenberg qualified climate change. Strangely enough, they do agree on the solutions.

A Framework for Quantifying Diverse Multi‐Hazard Interactions to Enhance Climate Resilience
A generalized framework for quantifying multi‐hazard interactions is developed and applied across four European regions. The framework captures regional hazard dependencies and joint probabilities, with methods tailored to different temporal scales. Results indicate increasing multi‐hazard event frequency under future climate scenarios, highlighting ...

ABSTRACT In geometrically nonlinear topology optimization, elements with low pseudo‐densities, subjected to compression from neighboring stiffer regions, can lead to complications, such as “inside‐out” elements in 2D structures or spurious local buckling in shells and plates.
