SummaryThe association between maternal stature and method of delivery was investigated prospectively in 651 Gujarati Indian subjects and 3576 Europeans. Maternal height and birth weight were significantly lower in the Indian group. The incidence of forceps delivery was similar in the groups and was not associated with stature in the Indians.
