Low-Dose Ketamine Anesthesia for Obstetrical Delivery
Anesthesia & Analgesia, 1974Ketamine was found generally satisfactory for anesthesia in 370 normal vaginal deliveries. Although Apgar scores with low-dose ketamine (0.3 mg./lb.) for delivery were comparable to those seen with other general anesthetic technics, a normal dose of ketamine (1 mg./lb.) resulted in lower Apgar scores.
