The DELPHI Silicon Tracker in the global pattern recognition [PDF]

open access: greenNucl.Instrum.Meth.A447:76-89,2000, 2000
ALEPH and DELPHI were the first experiments operating a silicon vertex detector at LEP. During the past 10 years of data taking the DELPHI Silicon Tracker was upgraded three times to follow the different tracking requirements for LEP 1 and LEP 2 as well as to improve the tracking performance.

BSAURUS- A Package For Inclusive B-Reconstruction in DELPHI [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
BSAURUS is a software package for the inclusive reconstruction of B-hadrons in Z-decay events taken by the DELPHI detector at LEP. The BSAURUS goal is to reconstruct B-decays, by making use of as many properties of b-jets as possible, with high efficiency and good purity.

Heavy quark asymmetries with DELPHI [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1999
The measurements of the forward-backward asymmetry in Z -> c cbar and Z -> b bbar decays are among the most precise determinations of sin^2(theta)_W. In this paper the results obtained by the DELPHI experiment at LEP with three different analyses are reviewed together with the impact of the combined LEP result on the global Electroweak fit.

The Next Round of Hadronic Generator Tuning Heavily Based on Identified Particle Data [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1995
Event shape and charged particle inclusive distributions determined from 750 000 hadronic Z events measured with the DELPHI detector at LEP are presented. The statistical and systematic precision of this data allows for a decisive confrontation with Monte Carlo models of the hadronization process and a better understanding of the structure of the Z ...

Review on Spatial Hearing Processing Disorder and Its’ Rehabilitation Methods among Elderly in Iran [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Rehabilitation Sciences and Research, 2021
Background: The hearing system can detect the location of the sound source and help us pay attention to it. In the presence of the background noise, it helps detecting the desired signal (especially speech) and comprehend it.

Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss in a Patient with COVID-19: A Case Report

open access: yesJournal of Kerman University of Medical Sciences, 2023
Background: Several viral infections may lead to hearing loss. It›s still unknown whether COVID-19 has effects on the auditory system or not. In this regard, to evaluate the possibility of sudden sensorineural hearing loss due to COVID-19, this study ...
