Influence of the Meteorological Record Length on the Generation of Representative Weather Files

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
Heat and moisture (HM) transfer simulations of building envelopes and whole building energy simulations require adequate weather files. The common approach is to use weather data of reference years constructed from meteorological records.

Complex Decongestive Therapy With Oral Adenoid Cystic Cancer: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 8, August 2025.
ABSTRACT This case report describes a case of adenoid‐cystic cancer with postoperative edema and speaking disorder. Following neck dissection, the patient was treated with complex decongestive therapy. Head/neck measurements, tissue‐dielectric‐constant, quality of life, and scarring showed improvements. This highlights that complex decongestive therapy

Evaluating Effects of Antibiotics Across Preclinical Models of the Human Gastrointestinal Microbiota

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 14, Issue 4, August 2025.
We compared microbiota changes following antibiotic treatment in two preclinical models of the human GI microbiota, minibioreactor arrays (MBRAs) and human microbiota associated mice (HMAmice). MBRAs and HMAmice were colonized with feces from 12 or 3 healthy humans, respectively, before treatment with each of 12 or 6 antibiotics.

Practitioner Experiences of Working With Racially Marginalised Families in England Using Multisystemic Therapy

open access: yesJournal of Family Therapy, Volume 47, Issue 3, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Racially marginalised young people are over‐represented in the criminal justice system but less likely to be referred to, access and engage with support services. Families who experience greater cultural mistrust and disadvantage are likely those who do not complete Multisystemic Therapy (MST).

Assessment of digital platforms for the quantification of co‐benefits in nature‐based solutions

open access: yesSustainable Development, Volume 33, Issue 2, Page 2137-2153, April 2025.
Abstract The significance of Nature‐Based Solutions (NBSs) in addressing environmental and socioeconomic challenges is widely acknowledged, yet research on NBSs continues due to a limited understanding of their full benefits. This study addresses the existing gap by focusing on NBS co‐benefit valuation through digital platforms. These platforms support

Estimation du lessivage en bas de pente, sous une bande herbeuse et sous maïs, de l'atrazine et de la DEA transportées par les eaux de ruissellement

open access: yesSciences, Eaux & Territoires, 2001
Les bandes herbeuses limitent efficacement la contamination des eaux de surface par le ruissellement. Cependant, on dispose de peu d'informations sur le risque de lessivage des produits ainsi piégés.

Hygrothermal performance of well-insulated wood-frame walls in Baltic climatic conditions

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
This study investigates the hygrothermal performance of wood-frame walls in the Baltic region under varying moisture loads, comparing bio-based and conventional insulation materials. The research combines experimental climate chamber testing with DELPHIN

Notes on global permeability – grading curve expressions of granular matter and their grading curve variables [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
This research aims at the elaboration of a globally valid permeability model. A model-building process is made for this purpose. Starting with a 3-variable model, by adding 10 new variables consecutively (into the product-type model generally used at ...

Etude sur lysimètres de l'effet d'un enherbement comparé à un maïs et un sol nu, sur le lessivage de l'atrazine et la DEA

open access: yesSciences, Eaux & Territoires, 2001

Stewardship Ecosystem Services Study Series: Assessing Forest Water Yield and Purification Ecosystem Services in the Lower Suwannee River Watershed, Florida

open access: yesEDIS, 2014
Land-use decisions and ecosystem characteristics affect the amounts of nutrients that end up in water bodies and the ability of the land to provide ecosystem services. Water quality is also highly valued by Florida forest landowners and managers.
