aaquetzalli is required for epithelial cell polarity and neural tissue formation in Drosophila [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ, 2018
Morphogenetic movements during embryogenesis require dynamic changes in epithelial cell polarity and cytoskeletal reorganization. Such changes involve, among others, rearrangements of cell-cell contacts and protein traffic.

The Aging Blood: Cellular Origins, Circulating Drivers, and Therapeutic Potential

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
As a conduit linking all organs, the blood system both reflects and actively drives systemic aging. This review highlights how circulating pro‐aging and antiaging factors and age‐associated hematopoietic stem cell dysfunction contribute to immunosenescence and multi‐organ decline, positioning the hematopoietic system as a target for aging intervention.

The effect of timing temporary cements to treat induced pulp necrosis in the teeth of dogs Uso do "curativo de demora" em diferentes tempos no tratamento endodôntico de cães com necrose pulpar induzida

open access: yesPesquisa Veterinária Brasileira, 2007
During endodontic therapy (pulpectomy, root canal debridement and root canal filling) microbiological management is a major concern. Bacteria present in dentine tubules, apical foramina and apical delta are causally related to failure of the procedure ...

Lipid Nanoparticles for the Delivery of CRISPR/Cas9 Machinery to Enable Site‐Specific Integration of CFTR and Mutation‐Agnostic Disease Rescue

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are optimized to co‐deliver Cas9‐encoding messenger RNA (mRNA), a single guide RNA (sgRNA) targeting the endogenous cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene, and homologous linear double‐stranded donor DNA (ldsDNA) templates encoding CFTR.

Comparação entre sessão única e a utilização do "curativo de demora" no tratamento endodôntico em cães: aspectos histopatológicos e microbiológicos Comparison of the application of temporary endodontic dressing in teeth of dogs: histopathological and microbiological aspects

open access: yesPesquisa Veterinária Brasileira, 2007
No tratamento endodôntico a presença de bactérias é a maior preocupação. A presença de bactérias nos túbulos dentinários, foraminas apicais e no delta apical é considerado como falha de procedimento.

Tuning the Dielectric Properties of Individual Clay Nanosheets by Interlayer Composition: Toward Nano‐Electret Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The dielectric properties of clays are studied on the level of individual monolayers and functional double stacks. The material breakdown characteristics and charge storage performance are analyzed. For illustration, a defined charge pattern representing a cuneiform character is produced, written into a microscopic clay tile, referencing the origins of
