Decoupling the Impact of Deep‐Trap and Band‐Tail States on PbS Quantum Dot Photodetectors via Alkylamine Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Band‐tail and deep trap states are effectively disentangled through the use of selective alkylamine additives. PA‐driven 2D ordering narrows band tails, while HA enhances halide passivation and Pb coordination to suppress deep traps. A comparative study of their CQD short‐wave infrared (SWIR) photodetectors further reveals whether band‐tail states or ...

Formation and propagation of singularities in one-dimensional Chaplygin gas

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, we investigate the formation and propagation of singularities for the system for one-dimensional Chaplygin gas, which is described by a quasilinear hyperbolic system with linearly degenerate characteristic fields.

Approximation of the Interactions of Rarefaction Waves by the Wave Front Tracking Method

open access: yesMathematics
The interaction of two simple delta shock waves for a pressureless gas dynamic system is considered. The result of the interaction is a delta shock wave with constant speed. This interaction is approximated by letting the perturbed parameter in the Euler

Efficacy of Delta-Tab in Controlling the Mixing Characteristics of Mach 1.8 Jet

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2021
This present investigation inspects the mixing promoting the efficacy of two short delta tabs which is axis-symmetric, mounted circumferentially antipodal at the end for a Mach number 1.8 convergent-divergent circular nozzle computationally with the ...

Delta shock wave and interactions in a simple model case

open access: yes, 2006
The notion of a delta shock wave and a singular shock wave was introduced and employed by different authors, and it was shown that a large class of Riemann problems can be solved globally with these additional building blocks. The aim of this paper is to study the interaction of one type of these new solutions, the delta shock waves, with the classical

INTERACTIONS OF DELTA SHOCK WAVES FOR THE AW-RASCLE TRAFFIC MODEL WITH SPLIT DELTA FUNCTIONS

open access: yesJournal of Applied Analysis & Computation, 2017
This paper is concerned with the interactions of δ-shock waves for the Aw-Rascle traffic model with split delta functions. The solutions are obtained constructively when the initial data are three piecewise constant states. The global structure and large time-asymptotic behaviors of the solutions are analyzed case by case.

Microscale Mapping of Fiber Strain and Damage in Composite Wrinkled Laminates Using Computed Tomography Assisted Wide‐Angle X‐Ray Scattering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study combines full‐field tomography with diffraction mapping to quantify radial (ε002$\varepsilon _{002}$) and axial (ε100$\varepsilon _{100}$) lattice strain in wrinkled carbon‐fiber specimens for the first time. Radial microstrain gradients (−14.5 µεMPa$\varepsilon \mathrm{MPa}$−1) are found to signal damage‐prone zones ahead of failure, which ...

An Equation of State of a Carbon-Fibre Epoxy Composite under Shock Loading

open access: yes, 2009
An anisotropic equation of state (EOS) is proposed for the accurate extrapolation of high-pressure shock Hugoniot (anisotropic and isotropic) states to other thermodynamic (anisotropic and isotropic) states for a shocked carbon-fibre epoxy composite (CFC)

INTERACTIONS OF DELTA SHOCK WAVES FOR A CLASS OF NONSTRICTLY HYPERBOLIC SYSTEM OF CONSERVATION LAWS

open access: yesJournal of Applied Analysis & Computation, 2020
Summary: In this paper, we study the perturbed Riemann problem for a class of nonstrictly hyperbolic system of conservation laws, and focuse on the interactions of delta shock waves with the shock waves and the rarefaction waves. The global solutions are constructed completely with the method of splitting delta function.

Temporal Interference Stimulation Enhances Neural Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Temporal interference (TI) stimulation is proposed as a non‐invasive approach to enhance neural regeneration in the deep brain. Theta‐band TI modulation selectively promotes neural progenitor cell differentiation in vitro and augments hippocampal neurogenesis in amouse model of Alzheimer's disease‐like amyloidosis.
