Numerical study on aerodynamics of banked wing in ground effect

open access: yesInternational Journal of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, 2016
Unlike conventional airplane, a WIG craft experiences righting moment and adverse yaw moment in banked turning in ground effect. Numerical simulations are carried out to study the aerodynamics of banked wing in ground effect.

Annuloids and $\Delta$-wings

open access: yes, 2023
In this paper, we describe new annular examples of complete translating solitons for the mean curvature flow and how they are related to a family of translating graphs, the $\Delta$-wings. In addition, we will prove several related results that answer questions that arise naturally in this investigation.

Aerodynamics of Reverse Delta Wing

open access: yesInternational Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology, 2021
Delta wings are mostly used in supersonic jets and fighter aircrafts. A delta wing is naturally stable and produces vortex lift, so the flow separation can be made into increasing lift. This augmented lift comes at an expense of high drag. A reverse delta wing is nothing but an inverted delta wing, the forward swept wings were inspired from this design.

Unsteady Characteristics of Breakdown Vortices over Delta Wing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Experiment of unsteady pressure measurement on the surface of wing with 75° sweep delta wing has been carried out in a wind tunnel in order to investigate unsteady characteristics of breakdown vortices over delta wing after the leading edge vortices were

DYE VISUALIZATION OF A YAWED SLENDER DELTA WING

open access: yesJournal of Thermal Engineering, 2015
In the present experimental study, effects of yaw angle, β on the flow structure at high angles of attack, α with 70° sweep angle, Λ were investigated using the dye visualization technique. In the case of zero yaw angle, β a pair of leading edge vortices take place on both sides of cords axis are more or less symmetrical over the delta wing.

Vortex Flow and Aerodynamic Performance of a Reverse Delta Wing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The unsteady flow past a reverse delta wing is simulated numerically to characterize the structure of the vortical flow and associated unsteady phenomena, and quantify the impact of such structures on the aerodynamic performance.
