Performance Assessment of TanDEM-X DEM for Mountain Glacier Elevation Change Detection
TanDEM-X digital elevation model (DEM) is a global DEM released by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) at outstanding resolution of 12 m. However, the procedure for its creation involves the combination of several DEMs from acquisitions spread between 2011

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Comparison of Different DEM Generation Methods based on Open Source Datasets
Digital Elevation Model (DEM) is one of the developed techniques for relief representation. The definition of a DEM construction is the modeling technique of earth surface from existing data. DEM plays a role as one of the fundamental information requirement that has been generally utilized in GIS data structures.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Efficient acoustic modelling of large acoustic spaces using finite difference methods. [PDF]
Time domain methods for solving wave based acoustic models have been of continued interest and development since early work by key figures such as Bottledooren, as these methods can provide a simple and flexible approach for simulating a wide range of ...

Measuring High Level Democratic Principles using the V-Dem Data [PDF]
While the definition of extended conceptions of democracy has been widely discussed, the measurement of these constructs has not attracted similar attention.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Comparison Result of DEM Generated from Aster Stereo Data and SRTM
This paper explains a method to generated DEM (Digital Elevation Model) from ASTER (Advanced Spaceborn Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer) stereo data and evaluates the generation of ASTER DEM and SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission) DEM with ...
