Combining UAV Photogrammetry and TLS for Change Detection on Slovenian Coastal Cliffs

open access: yesDrones
This article examines the combined use of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) photogrammetry and TLS (Terrestrial Laser Scanning) to detect changes in coastal cliffs in the Strunjan Nature Reserve.

Potential Early Risk Biomarkers for Reduced Forced Expiratory Volume in Children Post‐Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We sought to identify potential early risk biomarkers for lung disease in children post‐allogeneic HCT. Patients with pulmonary function tests 3 months post‐transplant and plasma samples between days 7 and 14 post‐HCT were included. Six of 27 subjects enrolled had reduced forced expiratory volume 1 (FEV1) z scores.

DEM-based topographic change detection considering the spatial distribution of errors

open access: yesGeo-spatial Information Science
Digital Elevation Model (DEM) errors tend to be spatially correlated, inevitably affecting DEM-based topographic change detection. Traditional topographic change detection methods often ignore the spatial distribution of the DEM error. This paper aims to

Comparison of DEM Super-Resolution Methods Based on Interpolation and Neural Networks

open access: yesSensors, 2022
High-resolution digital elevation models (DEMs) play a critical role in geospatial databases, which can be applied to many terrain-related studies such as facility siting, hydrological analysis, and urban design.

An event-related potential study on changes of violation and error responses during morphosyntactic learning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Based on recent findings showing electrophysiological changes in adult language learners after relatively short periods of training, we hypothesized that adult Dutch learners of German would show responses to German gender and adjective declension ...

Psychosocial Outcomes in Patients With Endocrine Tumor Syndromes: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction The combination of disease manifestations, the familial burden, and varying penetrance of endocrine tumor syndromes (ETSs) is unique. This review aimed to portray and summarize available data on psychosocial outcomes in patients with ETSs and explore gaps and opportunities for future research and care.

Quantifying slope-channel coupling in an active gully and fan complex at Tarndale, Waipaoa catchment, New Zealand [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Two RIEGL LMS‐Z420i scanner surveys (November 2007 and November 2008) of the Tarndale Gully complex and its associated fan were used to generate a digital elevation model (DEM) of difference in order to quantify gully‐fan‐channel connectivity.

Ion-by-Ion DEM Determination: I. Method

open access: yes, 2005
We describe a technique to derive constraints on the differential emission measure (DEM) distribution, a measure of the temperature distribution, of collisionally ionized hot plasmas from their X-ray emission line spectra. This technique involves fitting

Discrete modelling of capillary mechanisms in multi-phase granular media [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A numerical study of multi-phase granular materials based upon micro-mechanical modelling is proposed. Discrete element simulations are used to investigate capillary induced effects on the friction properties of a granular assembly in the pendular regime.

Nutritional and Behavioral Intervention for Long‐Term Childhood Acute Leukemia Survivors With Metabolic Syndrome

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a common complication in survivors of childhood acute lymphoblastic and myeloid leukemia (AL), and a major risk factor for premature cardiovascular disease, type‐2‐diabetes, and metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD).
