Simple Nuclear Demagnetization Stage
Journal of Low Temperature Physics, 1998A nuclear demagnetization stage for an ultralow temperature cryostat has been made using the diffusion welding technique. The advantages of the stage are its simple design and large filling factor.

A chart is constructed for converting the apparent magnetic permeability to the true permeability of cylinders of any given ratio of length to diameter. The curves are based on previous calculations in which account was taken of the variation of the demagnetizing factor N with permeability, but in which the permeability was assumed constant over any ...

Stress demagnetization in videotapes
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1982Experience with helical-scan videotape recorders has shown that the mechanical forces involved in handling the tape are sometimes sufficient to cause significant reductions in signal level due to stress demagnetization. A tape-loop recorder was used in an investigation of stress demagnetization in videotapes.

Airplane Demagnetization and Neutralization
Journal of the Aeronautical Sciences, 1939The causes of airplane magnetization are discussed together with means for eliminating or correcting them. Emphasis is placed on the limitations of the conventional methods of demagnetization and on the advantages of neutralization of large and awkward structures. A description of the neutralization method is given.

Demagnetization of ferromagnetic particles
British Journal of Applied Physics, 1961The finely divided magnetic solids, encountered in dense medium coal preparation and iron-ore beneficiation plants, show a wide variation in their residual magnetism after passage through an alternating current demagnetizer. High residual magnetism is associated with considerable oscillation of the suspended particles in the alternating magnetic field.
