Digital Twin Modeling for Demand Responsive Transit

2021 IEEE 1st International Conference on Digital Twins and Parallel Intelligence (DTPI), 2021
DRT is a customized public transport system with precisely matching of supply and demand and efficient utilization of supply. In this paper, the digital twin model is introduced to construct the individual trip chain and the bus operation chain respectively, as well as realize the calculation and feedback of the whole process of DRT service.

Relaxation methods for fixed route demand responsive transit

Transportmetrica B: Transport Dynamics, 2022
This article examines a partially responsive ride-sharing transit service with predetermined cyclic routes and deterministic travel times. The main operational challenge is setting the time schedule, which varies from day to day in response to upfront passenger requests.

Suburban Demand Responsive Transit Service With Rental Vehicles

IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, 2021
Demand responsive transit (DRT) services in suburban regions serve residents as the complements of the public transportation. Since suburban DRT service usually faces demand fluctuation in some special situations, such as terrible weather, DRT operators have recourse to temporal rental vehicles to satisfy all requests.

Demand-Responsive Transit, Evaluation Studies

2021
Demand-responsive transit (DRT) is a flexible form of public transport that adjusts the service based on travelers’ needs. DRT usually operates as feeder services to traditional transit systems, providing connectivity to low density and rural areas. DRT systems also serve a social role by providing mobility alternatives to elders, people with reduced ...

Demand-responsive transit circulator service network design

Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, 2015
Abstract Commuter rail systems are being introduced into many urban areas as an alternative mode to automobiles for commuting trips. It is anticipated that the shift from the auto mode to rail mode can greatly help alleviate traffic congestion in urban road networks.
