Methodology for Determining the Territories Where Scheduled Public Transport Should Be Changed to DRT

open access: yesFuture Transportation
To address the evolving mobility requirements of local (suburban) and regional public transportation systems, it is imperative to employ service models capable of adapting to low-density and variable demand.

PGDRT: Prediction Demand Based on Graph Convolutional Network for Regional Demand-Responsive Transport

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, 2023
To provide an efficient demand-responsive transport (DRT) service, we established a model for predicting regional movement demand that reflects spatiotemporal characteristics. DRT facilitates the movement of restricted passengers.

A Highly Hydrophilic Air Electrode With Water‐Induced Surface Reconstruction for Efficient Reversible Protonic Ceramic Cell at Low Water Partial Pressures

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a new strategy for reversible protonic ceramic cells (R‐PCCs). By developing highly hydrophilic oxides, efficient operation is achieved under low water vapor pressures while maintaining high performance and stability. This approach addresses the challenge of hydrogen production in freshwater‐scarce regions.

Assessing the performances of Demand - Responsive Transport (DRT) systems in low demand urban areas

open access: yes, 2021
LAUREA MAGISTRALEL’espansione delle città rende il trasporto pubblico convenzionale con percorsi e orari fissi meno attraente ed efficiente ogni giorno, in particolare nelle aree a bassa densità di domanda.

A Tool for Simulating Demand Responsive Transport Systems in SUMO [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Demand responsive transport (DRT) has become very important in the last years and is being tested in different cities worldwide. Due to the complexity and diversity of these services, their planning is quite challenging.

Serve All or Selectively Accept? A Triple Bottom Line Assessment of Demand-Responsive Transport Service Policies

open access: yesFindings
Demand-responsive transport (DRT) systems struggle to strike a balance between universal accessibility and efficient, equitable service delivery. This study utilises MATSim to evaluate two distinct DRT policies in Greater Melbourne: a serve-all policy ...

Integrating demand-responsive services into public transport networks – Results from agent-based simulation of demand-responsive transport scenarios for the city of Aachen

open access: yesJournal of Public Transportation
Enabled by the emergence of new technologies, demand-responsive transport (DRT) offers a flexible alternative to fixed-schedule public transport. In order to improve their public transport networks, cities are attempting to integrate new DRT services ...

Evaluating demand responsive transit services using a density-based trip rate metric

open access: yesJournal of Transport and Land Use, 2021
Demand responsive transit (DRT) is attracting increased attention as a means to provide public transit to low-density populations. This research aims to provide a suite of evaluation metrics with low data requirement and widespread availability, so that ...

A Fixed‐Charge Interphase Synchronizes Ion Transport to Suppress Space‐Charge‐Driven Inefficiency Under Nanoliter Confinement

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Electrochemical energy storage breaks down under extreme miniaturization, where interfaces and space‐charge dominate device behavior. This work introduces a fixed‐charge selective interphase (FCSI) integrated into a twin‐tube micro‐Swiss‐roll architecture.
