Demand Reduction and Inefficiency in Multi-Unit Auctions [PDF]
Auctions typically involve the sale of many related goods. The FCC spectrum auctions and the Treasury debt auctions are examples. With conventional auction designs, large bidders have an incentive to reduce demand in order to pay less for their winnings.

ABSTRACT Objectives To identify predictors of chronic ITP (cITP) and to develop a model based on several machine learning (ML) methods to estimate the individual risk of chronicity at the timepoint of diagnosis. Methods We analyzed a longitudinal cohort of 944 children enrolled in the Intercontinental Cooperative immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) Study ...

Demand uncertainy and unemployement in a monopoly union model [PDF]
The main concern of this paper is to show the importance of demand uncertainty in the determination of the "natural rate of unemployment". In the goods market there is demand heterogeneity -coming from preferences, and demand uncertainty -related solely ...

Pathogenic Germline PALB2 and RAD50 Variants in Patients With Relapsed Ewing Sarcoma
ABSTRACT Approximately 10% of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EwS) have pathogenic germline variants. Here, we report two cases: first, a novel germline pathogenic variant in partner and localizer of BRCA2 (PALB2) in a patient with a late EwS relapse. Its impact on homologous recombination is demonstrated, and breast cancer risk is discussed.

Muti‐units day‐ahead scheduling involving the pumped storages and considering deep‐load regulation
This paper presents a day‐ahead scheduling for multi‐energy entities. The deep load regulation involving pumped storages, which refers to deep peak regulation, is adopted to address the impact of wind power and photovoltaic (PV) uncertainties, thereby ...
