A mathematical model for the growth of dendritic trees
Neuroscience Letters, 1985A theoretical model for calculating the total length of dendritic trees is presented. Predictions of velocity of dendritic growth, time when branching begins and mean maximal extent of dendritic tree derived from the model for apical dendrites in entorhinal cortex of the rat are presented.

A Mathematical Approach for Optimizing Dendritic Cell-Based Immunotherapy
2004Adoptive dendritic cell (DC)-based immunotherapy represents a promising approach to overcome peripheral tolerance against autologous tumor antigens and to maintain protective antitumor immunity. The translation of successful preclinical studies, however, appears to be hampered by new complexities associated with the clinical situation.

Study on Mathematical Model of Homogenization of Dendritic Segregation
Advanced Materials Research, 2012The cosine solution of the Fick-2 Law, which was considered as the mathematical model of homogenization of dendritic segregation, has always been used to analyze high temperature diffusion. Cosine solution can not exactly describe the actual distribution of alloying elements in dendrite, as the slope of cosine curve is quite gentle.

Mathematical Modeling of Retinal Mosaic Formation by Mechanical Interactions and Dendritic Overlap
IEEE Transactions on Nanobioscience, 2007The retina is a complex assembly of neurons packed into a three-layer structure containing five classes of cells. Each class of retinal cells is regularly arranged within its layer in an orderly configuration called the retinal mosaic. We have set up a mathematical model of retinal mosaic formation focusing on the actions of local mechanical forces on ...

Dendritic cell (DC) vaccines and immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) play critical roles in shaping the immune responses of tumor cells (TCs) and are widely used in cancer immunotherapies. Quantitatively evaluating the effectiveness of these therapies are essential for the optimization of treatment strategies.

Segmentation of dendritic cells from microscopic images using mathematical morphology
2016 2nd International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Signal and Image Processing (ATSIP), 2016For many years, biologists have been interested in toxicology to assess the effects of contamination on humans. In recent years, researchers have found a new evaluation technique based on the analysis of dendritic cells in vitro. Up to now the analysis conducted on these cells remains purely visual in nature.

Mathematical model of the dendritic growth during lithium electrodeposition
Journal of Power Sources, 2013Abstract Dendritic growth of lithium during galvanostatic electrodeposition is modeled. The time-dependent concentration distribution near the lithium surface is computed by numerically solving the transport equation inside the diffusion boundary layer.

Simplest Mathematical Model of Anti-Tumor Therapy Based on Dendritic Cells
2020 13th International Conference "Management of large-scale system development" (MLSD), 2020The paper presents a simplest mathematical model of anti-tumor therapy based on dendritic cells. The model describes the stages of developing immune response to dendritic cell vaccine. The model was developed in MatLab-Simulink to conduct a computing experiment (in silico).

Currently, there is a promising therapy to treat cancer that uses dendritic cell infusions. Dendritic cells play a crucial role in the initiation, programming, and regulation of the specific immune response, for this reason they are considered the best antigen-presenting cells. The objective of using them in immunotherapy is to induce a specific immune
