Geometrically‐Screened, Sterically‐Hindered Additive for Wide‐Temperature Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries
A molecular‑engineering strategy combining steric hindrance tuning with geometric optimization identifies cellobiose as an ideal additive for aqueous zinc‑ion batteries, enabling stable Zn deposition across a wide temperature range from −30 to 50 °C. Abstract Aqueous zinc‐ion batteries (AZIBs) are emerging as a highly promising alternative to lithium ...

A diisopropyl ether (DIPE)‐based, localized, high‐concentration electrolyte is developed to stabilize both electrodes in aqueous zinc batteries. By reducing water activity and promoting anion‐rich zinc‐ion solvation, it builds robust interphases at both the cathode and anode, ensuring uniform deposition, suppressed corrosion, and highly reversible ...

Identification of geometrical models of interface evolution for dendritic crystal growth [PDF]
This paper introduces a method for identifying geometrical models of interface evolution, directly from experimental imaging data. These local growth models relate normal growth velocity to curvature and its derivatives estimated along the growing ...

In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Technical progress in silicon sheet growth under DOE/JPL FSA program, 1975-1986 [PDF]
The technical progress made in the Silicon Sheet Growth Program during its 11 years was reviewed. At present, in 1986, only two of the original 9 techniques have survived to the start-up, pilot-plant stage in industry.

Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...

Abstract A theory of dendritic growth is reviewed, which accounts, in principle, for the growth rate and shape of dendrites in solidification, electrochemical deposition, and two-phase fluid flow. A variety of different growth forms is possible, depending upon both the degree of anisotropy and the deviation from equilibrium of the system.

Conductive Bonding and System Architectures for High‐Performance Flexible Electronics
This review outlines bonding technologies and structural design strategies that support high‐performance flexible and stretchable electronics. Bonding approaches such as surface‐activated bonding and anisotropic conductive films, together with system‐level architectures including buffer layers and island‐bridge structures, possess distinct mechanical ...

Dendritic growth and structure of undercooled nickel base alloys [PDF]
The principal objectives of this overall investigation are to: study means for obtaining high undercooling in levitation melted droplets, and study structures produced upon the solidification of these undercooled specimens.
